everyone thinks they are right in their own eyes

consult the book of Judges

I have concluded that we are living in similar days...not aiming this at you personally at all, but that is what I think regarding the Bible, doctrine etc. everyone is right and no one is wrong. impossible

I would disagree this thread was started to judge. I would think the judgement had been made and the op was looking for cheerleaders.

I don't know what CF will say at the judgment seat. probably nothing because by then they will no longer be in business

but I also don't know what the people who made the decision at CF will say cause God looks on the heart and I don't judge hearts

I doubt the devil has devoured CF

I have also 'been there' so I am not just making smoke
How would one arrive at the status of cheerleader for this if they're Christian reading the article in this Christian forum?
If you are saying the member that posted the OP was cheering this on, then yes, I agree whole heartedly. And that they were looking to bring like minds with them in that celebration, no doubt.

But no Christian would celebrate this. And no, you misunderstood me. A corporation isn't going to be judged. Corporations are comprised of people who will be judged in this case. Because CF started as a Christian family business. And now they've abandoned those principles.
Jesus tells us that sinful deeds begin in the mind. And Christians are to judge those in the church. While we also judge those outside it or else proslytyzing would have no purpose; we judge those who are fallen need salvation. Sometimes, when we witness their fallen behavior some of us offer them a tract, or counseling in the word. What is that but judging that person or those persons , need Jesus?

God knows how long CF will be in business. The founder, S. Truett Cathy, has already passed on and years ago in 2014 at the age of 93. I doubt this would have happened had he still been with us.

The Book of Matthew chapter:7 r“Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 sFor with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and twith the measure you use it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but udo not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

Many of us misunderstand that verse. Jesus isn't telling us we cannot judge. Jesus is warning us not to be hypocritical judges. Realize our own faults, then we'll be able to bring to our brother or sisters attention their own.

One can't bathe in mud while charging their sister for being wrong by playing in the dirt.

you misunderstand what I meant by cheerleaders

I didn't misunderstand you. I got you right off but I strayed into the area of light humor and you are ultra serious at times

I understand what proper judgement is

we are all hypocrites in one way or another

you don't have to agree

I'm fine with that

well I don't disagree

I believe we currently have a reprieve from the devil's plans for this country and it is a time when Christians should consider what came before and all likely hood will come again but much worse

the left has made their desires clear. and they will come to pass and we are not going to stop it

not tomorrow or the day after, but soon enough

I pray the 2020 election does not see them in the White House...not that they could do all they promised and anyone who thinks that they can, has never learned a thing about this gov works

it is a travesty that the GOP held both the House and the Senate prior to the midterms and did basically nothing regarding issues that supposedly they have been trying to solve since they first noticed them. the swamp is deep indeed

I would really like to see terms for these goodie two shoes...but I understand not likely going to happen
Term limits. Wouldn't that be an answer to a long held prayer. But you're right, it isn't likely to happen. For term limits to occur there has to be a Constitutional amendment passed to that end. And that takes 2/3rds of the one's we want to limit to make that happen.

Imagine. Nancy Pelosi has to get a job! AOC isn't going to be a career politician like she imagines as her future.
Wonderful.

I think there are a lot of RINO's in Congress. John McCain had no problem proving he was one. Also, Trump has changed parties many times in his career before he decided to turn Republican again and run for highest office.
He doesn't play the game like career politicians do. I think that's one of the reasons those types hate him. He doesn't sell out America and our people they way they do.

I believe Trump will win 2020. And I pray the last mid-term election corruption in some states taught all states a valuable lesson. That way, next mid-term election there's more security and oversight during the election and so that it is a fair uncorrupted process. Prayerfully at the end, we shall have a Republican president and majority in both houses. If we get Democrats across the board, president and majority in both houses, we're going to have to pray harder.

We have met the enemy, and they are the ultra-leftists on the Hill.

Why don't you assist my understanding and elaborate as to what you did mean by cheerleaders? That would correct my ignorance in the matter.
I do apologize that I misunderstood you. It was not my intention, of course.

And no worries, I do realize I don't have to agree. ;)

No, I will do the repeating. None of us know why they are going to give their money elsewhere. About the only thing we do know is that their contracts with those three were up.
Wrong. Many of us know why they're giving their money elsewhere. That's because we read the article, researched and found other articles that report CF's position, which affirms the OP article reporting, and we go from there.
What we don't do is assume the contrarian position just to start a ruckus.

preaching to the choir on this one

I cannot for the most part watch the demonic circus passing for an impeachment inquiry

although it does result in me crying out to God and begging him to put an end to their lies....I also cannot fathom how they can operate with apparent impunity and make up rules as they go along...I've discussed that a few times with my husband who is pretty much up on the Constitution and history....he is my guide to all things American politics haha

speaking of agendas, this one should win a Pulitzer (sarcasm)

I would think the number of GOP members who actually WANTED Trump to win would be less than thrilling :cautious:

I don't think it can be ignored as to the front that is assaulting Chick Fil A. Not just here in the U.S but abroad.

Those are just a few articles to consider.
Remember, the extremist Christophobes in the LGBTQ terror front are precisely that. They have even gone so far as to make death threats against the baker in Oregon who refused to make a wedding cake for a gay wedding. Right after a court decision came down in his favor , that same day, a Tranny male came in to that same shop and asked to have a cake celebrating his self-mutilation made.
Of course the baker refused, as the man knew. And the man then went and filed a suit so as to start the whole attack process all over again. Not that it stopped with the wedding cake decision. But this man sought to compound the stress on the baker.

These people want the entire of the Christian community in America and the world to concede to their demands. That we as a whole accept they are alright in their sin and the Bible is wrong for calling it that.

Sadly, tragically really, many Denominational churches have actually done just that. Allowing for homosexual clerics, deacons, even marriages, in the church.
That too is impetus for that activist front to continue the fight.

What's the Bible say?
The Book of Ephesians chapter 6:12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians chapter 2 verses 2-3:in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.

Disturbing article. I read about this singer situation several days ago.

But they weren't asked, nor do they say, what their stance is on homosexuals/transgenders as being sinful, anti Biblical sins. It only says they love and care for them. I disagree with how they are implementing their care, but WE should be doing the same, but that is a separate issue.

We are to love our neighbors as ourselves and that’s not up for debate. It doesn’t matter who they are, what their beliefs are, their sexual orientation, we are to literally love them.

Imagine they come over and tell us to take our monies we donate to places like the OP article mentioned, and give them to planned parenthood. They demand us to do that and violate our conscience. It’s no different than what the LGBTQ community did to CFA.

You can click on the whole article if you like, but the COO himself SAYS what the reason is for pulling funds. All about the almighty dollar.https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...tions-anti-LGBTQ-charities-organizations.html

Pertinent parts of the article:

‘There’s no question we know that, as we go into new markets, we need to be clear about who we are,’ Chick-fil-A President and Chief Operating Officer Tim Tassopoulos told Bisnow of the company’s expansion into more liberal parts of the US and beyond.
There are lots of articles and newscasts about Chick-fil-A, and we thought we needed to be clear about our message.
In 2001, Chick-fil-A surpassed $1 billion in sales and eclipsed the $5 billion mark by 2013 - a year after CEO Dan Cathy spoke out against gay marriage, insisting he supports ‘the biblical definition of the family unit.’

In a 2018 interview he reiterated that stance but said he’s not anti-gay. That year, the company registered $10.5 billion in sales, making it the third largest fast-food chain in the US, behind McDonald’s and Starbucks.
But after years of ‘taking it on the chin’, rather than feeling it in their pockets, Tassopoulos SAYS the growing raucous of contempt for their charitable ties became too loud to ignore as it was finally starting to negatively threaten the company’s growth.

just stepped in here and haven't read all of the posts, and know little about the ex's and corporate big-uns -
just want to say, where we live, they 'close their doors' on sunday and even though I have never eaten there,
I think they should get at least some kudos for this out-standing observance
of what many Christians call (their Sabbath) - or, is this not a factor in the controversy???

Oh, I knew you were a fellow member of the choir. ;) I was speaking to the whole issue itself, just quoting you. You know that, silly. :p

 The Dem's hope we're not that astute. That's why I think it is a blessing that there's an online school, Hillsdale College, gives free classes in basic understanding of the USC.

And I agree with you. It is a witch hunt. I've not seen this kind of push back against a president since I've been old enough to pay attention to politics. Much of what some members are doing is tantamount to sedition, if not actually prosecutible as such.

All the smoke and mirrors the Dem's use to assault Trump , the lies, are actually in evidence against members of their own party. But I think the Dem's committed to that agenda know their base rather well. If they keep saying Trump is guilty of this or that, their base is more than happy to believe and react.
When certain people in the Democratic party were found to have paid people during the 2016 campaign to enter Trump campaigns and start riots so as to make Republican supporters look unhinged, that I saw as a forewarning of things to come. They know no shame. As we see on a daily basis.

Yes, it is a factor. Realizing you haven't read all the posts, praise for their observance has entered into this discussion. And that is a great thing that they're still closing on Sunday.
The concern now is, they've abandoned the values behind that closure when conceding to the demands of , shall I say, the sons and daughters of Sodom and Gomorrah.
