How is receiving the knowledge of the Truth the same as receiving the Truth, which is Jesus Christ? Not so. The text in Hebrews 10:26 explicitly states, "after receiving the knowledge of the truth." Couple that with verse 29.
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
hello friend. Finland is doing great. how are you doing in Australia? are u surviving the elements there?Hi Melach, how is Finland going?

Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
They were sanctified as verse 29 puts forth. Therefore they have at one time received Christ. And then They hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith they was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace. How is receiving the knowledge of the Truth the same as receiving the Truth, which is Jesus Christ?
These people heard the Truth but rejected Him. They are in worse shape than someone who doesn’t have the knowledge.
Amen! They drew back to perdition and did not believe to the saving of the soul. (Hebrews 10:39)How is receiving the knowledge of the Truth the same as receiving the Truth, which is Jesus Christ?

One is not sanctified unless they receive Christ.

Verse 26 also has another thing that might of escaped our notice. The writer through the Holy Spirit includes himself in the admonition.Amen! They drew back to perdition and did not believe to the saving of the soul. (Hebrews 10:39)
I have already previously thoroughly explained this to you. See posts #4,404 and #4,547 from the links below:Verse 26 also has another thing that might of escaped our notice. The writer through the Holy Spirit includes himself in the admonition.
Heb 10:26 For if WE sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
As he continues in this admonition, verse 29 states they, those who sinned willfuly after receiving the knowledge of the truth. These people were sanctified but if they sinned willfuly they counted the blood of the covenant an unholy thing and done despite unto the Spirit of Grace.
Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Then the writer through the Holy Spirit continues to speak to these who are sanctified and confirms that they have been illuminated
Heb 10:32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
Then in verse 35 the writer exhorts these illuminated that are sanctified not to cast away their confidence.
Heb 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
Then the writer admonishes them that they must not draw back. They can't draw back if they were not a place to draw back from in the first.
Heb 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Then exhorts them and himself by saying we are not them who draw back but them who believe to the saving of the soul.
Heb 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
Some people WANT to believe that they can lose their salvation, no longer be a Child of God, and be tossed into hell.I have already previously thoroughly explained this to you. See posts #4,404 and #4,547 from the links below:

Keep in mind you don't know me and I don't think those things that you slander me with. And I see you can't address the points of the post either. Have a nice day.keep in mind- lightbearer is a Hebrew roots / s d a advocate. he thinks one has to keep the Law and Sabbath to be saved.
I already have, but you just can’t see it. You have a nice day as well.So you can't actually address the points of the post. Have a nice day.
Some people WANT to believe that they can lose their salvation, no longer be a Child of God, and be tossed into hell.
This is why the nagging question remains whether they trust in Christ, or themselves, to stay saved.
Keep in mind you don't know me and I don't think those things that you slander me with. And I see you can't address the points of the post either. Have a nice day.
