This may not be powerful to others but it was to me. A message seeping in the Spirit and these moments for me as a actual supernatural revelation to come forward does not happen everyday.

Tonight, in our weekly community group we was having game night. A community group is where a group of families meet outside of church to do deeper studies and grow together.

We had our new assistant pastor who first discovered our church a few months ago but our main pastor has already had his help teaching 3 sermons.

Point is, that I have not spoken to him yet or really told many people the God nudges that I wrestle with in my heart and mind.

After the group was ending in prayer, the assistant pastor looks at me and says in front of everyone he had a message for me.

And he knew I had been struggling with the idea for years about a pastoral urging, my wife has been telling me for years. And he knew this without me telling him and I have not shared those inner thoughts.

He told me he could see the Spirit in me and spoke for twenty minutes or more. Basically hitting on my fears and worries.

He has offered to meet with me. In which I hope to seek mentoring. This mans faith is beyond the average and honestly from the first time he preached, I kept saying I need to grow close this man. I need the strength of his faith and the wisdom he had. And all I know about him is that he was a pastor in Germany and planted many churches and many grew large enough that now have branched off into the US.

This experience was hair raising and a confirmation that I was always hesitant to admit due to personal reasons usually from ignorance. But Satan used the ignorance, fear, or worry to bring self doubt and squash the spiritual nudges.

I share this because I feel very blessed and humble that God reminds me that he has a plan, and I must remain obedient and faithful during the seasons of preparation that I often get distracted in by losing the bigger picture.

This RoughSoul is 100% human and earns that title more often than I wish to admit. And for God to remind me the way he did was so heartwarming that I cannot help but tear up. Yes I read the word that says that God doesn't forget or walk away, but to actually feel it..... has shaken my soul.

Don't stay in the boat when God's asking you to trust Him and step onto the water.

Yes, thank you for sharing your testimony.
God is sending you a message that you've entertained yourself for years.
What are you waiting for brother.

I believe most of my waiting has been due to failed attempts to reach out. For example I studied 1 on 1 with my main pastor hoping to grow and then be led in that but my main pastor treated our time more as a appointment than a mentorship. He is good pastor and I learned a lot. It fed my thirst for awhile but I began to feel thirsty again and it wasn't enough.

So I began to treat time as a season that God was providing this thirst to continually grow in wisdom, knowledge, and experience. I figured there would be a day when the watering and feeding of my soul would grow into a fruitful result just as the many years that Moses was in the desert before being called to free his people or the many years of Joseph in slavery and bondage before becoming 2nd in rank to Pharaoh.

So I am currently hoping this man will mentor me and help guide me in this journey.

our Saviour works with each of us in so many different ways and in so many different times in our lives,
as the years go by and by -
sometimes we may feel that we need someone else to guide and show us the way -
sometimes we may feel that we only need God's Word to guide us on our way -
sometimes we may feel something else that He has in store just for us -
may our hearts and minds and spirits always be open to HIM first'...

"Should the Holy Spirit come upon a life...there will be no doubt.
A spiritual event has to be lived. And, a worldly event is often an epiphany
due to surrounding influential circumstances. Let us hope your guidance
is of a Divine nature, and all will come to 'light'.

Thanks for sharing your story. The idea of ministry seems overwhelming at first. I don't feel called to formal church ministry, but all Christians are called to share the good news, and I've fallen short so often, especially without a wife. But, even then it's difficult for a marriage unless both feel called to church ministry. The young Apostle Timothy had many grueling challenges, even being single, but the Bible doesn't say he never married. But it would have been difficult to stand up to Paul who advised him to stay single. But, it sounds like even Paul wanted a wife at one point, and may have been married earlier in life since the Pharisee order required marriage, but he may have taken a Nazarites vow.

Public ministry is dangerous, and husband and wife must be very strong Christians, strong in many ways. and all Christians must be willing to face dying for the Lord.
