What would the world be like if the laws were written by women?

Somebody in chat mentioned most of the criminals in prisons were guys. Somebody else observed the laws we have were based on law frameworks made by men. The destructive things men normally do have laws against them, whereas women do a lot of destructive things that are not legally actionable.

That got me thinking... what if they were made by women? I don't mean modifications of existing laws in the existing framework, I mean what if women tore down the whole legal structure and rebuilt it?

What would the penalty be for malicious gossip? Would there be a harsher penalty for the third offense? What about stealing someone else's man? Would it be against the law to use crying to get your way?

Ladies of the forum, what laws would you make? What would the penalties be for breaking them? Also what would be the criteria for proving in court that the laws had been broken?

A woman gets the last word in any argument and anything that a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument. :giggle:

Intriguing!!

I know God made the framework for the law through men’s hands and to have men as the heads of church and house, but it’s interesting to think of how ladies would have gone about it...

Sadly women would probably have the same thing happen to them that men did. They would start to treat men as second hand citizens since they didn’t make the rules, eventually men would have the same fight for equal rights, and then probably be at the same place they were now. “All women are controlling” would probably be somewhere along that line. Men would have probably been forced to do a lot of the grunt work, the service jobs, the jobs that didn’t need a “lot of thinking to worry them.”

Legally I have a feeling things would be much more based on a sort of socioeconomic hierarchy. Much like the old Victorian England times, people’s money and social standing would be a big factor.

One thing I would suggest would be better would probably be capital punishment. I have a feeling under a woman’s hand they would not have the death penalty. Not sure why.

I bet there would be a lot more corporal punishment though. I know some people who need a good drive-by whupping.

I think the challenge for women would not be able to make decisions/laws based off our emotions - like Queen Victoria lol.

Yup that’s why I figured more of the socioeconomic stuff would happen. Everyone wants THEIR CHILD to have all the comforts and possible expansion possible.

Slight derail here. Interesting that the Lord said a woman would desire her husband. I take this partially to mean, since it's meant as punishment from God, that she would desire to usurp his leadership role.

We see this in spades today, where the clamor for "equal rights" and equal power seems to grow daily.

Less than 1% of garbagemen are women. You can see the stats in other menial fields that are similar. Yet I don't think I have seen a SINGLE time a group has protested for equal numbers of women garbagemen.

CEO's? Lawyers? Judges? Congress? President? Woo man! They out there LOUD desiring that POWER!
