Thank you for your comment, very interesting, you bring up a good point, so we can see that those pants and t-shirt are tight, very tight, they would fit into the category of immodesty, now to clarify again, modesty is about honoring God as holy and loving your neighbor.

So the good point you brought up is that LUST is an inside problem, yes that is true, but we are not to tempt people, as in we are not to be a stumbling block as the bible would have it, we can do this by how we dress or don't dress. So modesty is about honoring God and your neighbor, seeking there best, its a command from God's word to either be rejected or obeyed in love.

You made a good point about lust in the heart, it must be burned out by the Spirit, but we can't use that as an excuse to destroy and justify immodesty, that is a sinful mindset.

And i attack this sinful mind, whether its in you or other people, may God bless this post:

Amen to that Brother, God shall judge us all, and judgment begins at the household of God, so we must prepare ourselves in this life for that judgment.

Well I want to clear up something first so that you understand; Loco masculine not loca feminine,
pony dirt Man, not woman, so brother we are brothers. now that we've got that covered we can move on.
As long as folks have their bits and bobs covered, I'm not going to get in a big sweat about it. Even if I do find it in bad taste. I personally think that no grown person should ever wear a t-shirt beyond the threshold of their own front door, but I digress. I personally thought my daughter that the two things that you don't want people to see are your under curves or your cleavages, and I taught my boys to wear jeans and a button-up shirt. I figure in this cultural battle for reasonable fashion that was a pretty good line to draw.

ahha im sorry i called you a Sister, my bad xD, anyway, thats fair enough, im just here to talk about modesty in this thread, i will keep spreading sound love and truth :) your free to disagree with me, im not your God, i just spread his word and the bible teachings on these things. What people do with it is up to them, im gonna do my best until this thread dies.

Well fighting for the gospel in your church means fighting for modesty, absolutely (that is, if its not present), your fighting for God's Gospel which is what? that we are saved to holiness (internal and external reality), through grace, this is the gospel, this is the only biblical gospel. Aka we are to fight for the gospel in our churches, if it is being distorted into unrighteousness.

Plus i didnt say that what we wear becomes the gospel, so that's a LIE, i said its CONNECTED to the gospel in that quote.
Aka i mean that the gospel is being comprised if holiness is being destroyed, in the name of what? an upholding of a sinful grace.

Well to clarify in that in that quote fight for the gospel through modesty, yes for sure, which means not that modesty is the gospel, but that the gospel is being compromised being expressed in lawless dress.

Salvation itself is by faith alone not through law, which then produces the law if it doesnt it can absolutely lead people into hell eventually for sure, hence the gospel itself can be being comprimised.. Matthew 7:19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Now don't get me wrong im not saying that immodest people aren't saved (it could be a sign, for sure, but there can be many signs, 1 John for example declares that all that know God will be marked by Light and Love, (just so that people don't jump on my back).

Why is it seemingly and mostly the men that concern themselves with what Modesty means (for women) according to the scripture? When they themselves think they are not prescribed to be particularly careful with their appearance?
And if Biblical modesty according to first century standards are for today, is a woman to be stoned for wearing revealing clothing? Women should not dress as a man!
In Bible times men wore long tunics as did women. Today we'd call those dresses. Men wear pants today, as do women. No thing is wrong with that.

I addressed both in the scriptures I referenced.

The standard is created design and holy scripture not any particular place and time.

1 Samuel 16:7 concerns Samuel trying to find out who God was anointing king over rebellious Saul by looks. Similarly I can not tell by outward appearance whose God elect are. This is not about modest clothing, which scriptures I did list.

Proverbs 31 KJV (Hebrew also) also does mention her actual physical clothing. Context is needed.

I know very well the heart matters most which is why I addressed it in the scriptures I referenced:
