If you could live anywhere in the world, with all costs and practicalities
taken care of. Where would it be any why.

For me
Winter - south of France where it’s warmer.

Summer - north Yorkshire in the UK, nice warm sometimes wet weather,
but great countryside, little quaint towns and villages.

A month in Spring in the US/Canada visiting all my CC friends.

A few weeks in Autumn in Europe touring the Mediterranean visiting CC friends.

During the menopause residing in the North Pole - I might even go work for Santa!

I'm happy in Tennessee. Most of the other places I know of have much too extreme temperatures in summer, winter or both.

I have heard Ireland has a moderate climate, and I hear they sure are nice folks there. If Tennessee were for some reason not an option, I would probably live in Ireland. Or Scotland.

For some reason a Smalltown Poets song keeps playing in my head...

Been to 48 states and a few different worlds
Beheld the blind tour guide and a pig wearing pearls
I've seen grace under foot people fall in the street
Or use it to wipe their feet

Never the righteous man forsaken
Never the righteous man

Been to 48 states I remember a few
Having higher skylines and a wide angle view
I've seen green lands and the natives stay in one place
Peace falling on their face

Where could I be
And stay happy
I hear Hawaii is greener
I hear Alaska is cleaner

Whether here or there the righteous have joy to spare

Been to 48 states and few different worlds
I've seen dithered men leave boys, women and girls
Found the church roll full and they're current with dues
To pay for the empty pews

Never the righteous man forsaken
Never the righteous man

Ireland gets a lot of rain - there’s a reason it’s called the emerald island. All that rain makes it very green - so take your wellies.

Well if all costs and practicalities where taken care of i would live on the Island of St Helena in the South Atlantic.. It has a warm climate. never snows. And it has a nice sized community.. Big enough for good social interaction and not too big as to lead to people being indifferent to each other.. Just the right population for a good community environment..

St. Helena Island..

I would live where it’s 60 ° F all year long! Mostly sunny days! A gentle breeze!

I haven’t found such place :(

Would you just go from place to place like a gyspy if you couldnt decide?

I dont know I think im just happy living in my garden. Even though it can be hard work, it what I put into it. Certain places its harder to grow a garden but that would be most important for me. I wouldnt feel like Im really living somehwere if I couldnt garden it.

It's easy to think of places that have climates I would enjoy. There's more to a place to live though... finding a healthy church fellowship is a challenge for many people, so I'd want to live where there is one. I have that here.

I prefer a place that is not in a city, but is reasonably close to a city, for shopping, travel, and medical care. I have that here.

A decent job in one's field, that pays well and offers good benefits, can be hard to find. I have that here.

Tim Horton's dark roast coffee is only readily available in certain areas. I have that here.

Lee Valley Tools is the best woodworking tool supply house in the world. I have that here.

Southern Saskatchewan gets six months of winter, five months of road construction, and four months of mosquitoes. You guessed it... I have that here. :cautious:

It's funny how the answers change as life changes.

Growing up, I never could have foreseen leaving my home state, but alas, God seems to have bumped me around a bit here and there.

The past few years, I have become more and more attracted to a gypsy-type lifestyle, with a goal of trying to establish a home base but living here and there for varying amounts of time. I'm just fortunate that I have friends and family who are willing to let me crash on their couches when I have time off and earn my keep by helping out around the house. I have found that I like different places at different times of the year, and for different reasons.

Once upon a time, I thought I knew where my forever "home" was -- now I feel as if I might never find it, but yet at the same time, I seem to find bits and pieces of "home" in almost every place I go.

While I am convinced that Virginia has grown on me over my adult life with extensive experiences within this micro view of God's Country - my heart longs to be close to my family... Where the roots of my immediate family are here in Virginia, the roots of my upbringing rest in Arizona where my mother, two sisters, brother and much of their extended families reside. We've grown accustomed to visiting family for our annual 4th of July Independence Day - Family Reunion in Arizona...
Bottomline - location is less important - while being with family and/or loved ones is everything...

"Home is Where the Heart Is"...

It will be pretty hard to stay at 60 degrees year around, since seasons change. With that said, your best match is San Francisco, California. Average high temperature is 64 degrees and average low is 51 degrees. This is also one of the most expensive places to live in the U.S.. The median house price in San Francisco is 1.7 million.

There could be towns near bye that are more affordable, but generally the average home in California is expensive, if you live along the coast.

I do love where I live, but a change would be lovely. I've pictured myself living in Canada (PEI or Nova Scotia would be lovely) and Hawaii was absolutely wonderful, so I could see myself living there too.

I have many places I'd love to visit.
