Paul rented a house it does say in the bIble. Also he made tents.
JEsus never had any money the whole time he was ministering. Also he stayed in friends homes. Otherise he was homeless and spent the nights in the garden of olives. When he needed to pay tax, he got it from a fish.

There were women who gave to Christ and the apostles out of their belongings. Judas held the money box, so they must have had some money.

I think they were given money by other people, but they didnt earn that money for preaching. They werent on salaries.

In fact I think Peter said gold and silver I have none...and when someone tried to buy the holy spirit, he threw the money back at the person who offered.
