If God is one of the Trinity, then how can the Trinity be my God. That's like asking is my father my father. God is the Father, the Trinity is God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit. Trinity means three in one. So how can that be my God?

It is simple, the Trinity is God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Apparently you do not understand this. The Trinity "consists of" Father,Son,Holy Spirit. Your question is nonsensical.

I tell them Christ died for their sins and was raised again and if they believe in Him, they will be saved.
So you do not believe the trinity is your God.
That is how I take it unless you confess to me otherwise.
How come you did not tell them about the doctrine of Christ seeing
2 John 1:9
Whosoever transgresseth,
and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.
