Which president was it who said God told him to go into Iraq?
1 Samuel 15:2-3

2 This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt.
3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them

God is Good. I do not believe God tells us to commit evil otherwise He would be condemning us to Hell.
According to God mankind is evil and all have the curse from Adam. If God calls judgment who are you to say God I am morally wiser than you and I know this judgment is too harsh. What do you think happened when God flooded the Earth? I am sure people of all ages drowned.

Corruption on the Earth
…5Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great upon the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was altogether evil all the time. 6And the LORD regretted that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him in His heart. 7So the LORD said, “I will blot out man, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—every man and beast and crawling creature and bird of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them.”…

Romans 5:12
Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ
12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—
