I find it interesting that in my time here on CC this is the only thread that has had a steady stream of trolls

The lastest one....
PENANCESPENANCESPENANCES

@dcontroversal , I am thinking this thread must be a real problem for false teachers out there.
Think about the mental instability of such a person to go through the lengths that he goes through to be a PITA.

UG, this is how the wide path has gotten so wide. Go to church, given a Bible, accept Jesus, and everything in His word is ours to claim. That's just not true!
It is.

The problem is not the presentation.
The problem is the follow up, the discipleship.

To preach just say the sinners prayer and go on your way and do what you want is ok is wrong.

Paul addressed this Romans 5-6.

If one truly accepts Jesus then they will want to be like him.

Wanting to be like him does not save.
Faith saves that leads to sanctification.

Okay, what is your definition of Faith, how it's applied?

That's kind of a state of being from who has been perfected by Him for many many years, towards the end of the journey. It would be a different state at the start or middle of the journey. Sorry for ruining that part for you.
You ain't ruined anything for me.
You think you are a child towards the end of the journey.

I have 4 kids.
They have been mine from the day they were born.
They have nothing to prove to me that they are my kids.
Nothing to prove from the day 1 to whatever day I die.

Not slaves.
I teach them to do right.
When they don't still my kids.

God gave birth to you.
You are his kid.
Not based on what you do but based on he created you.

Sorry for ruining that for you.

Romans 10:9-10
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Pisteou for believe I see.

Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Pistis used here.

Why the difference?

Anyway faith in action.
Created to good works.

Saved by faith that do them.
Not saved by said works.
If a person does not confess Jesus as Lord and believe he was raised from the dead.
Then good works for Jesus will not follow.

What is personal surrender?
What does it entail?

Nitty gritty
You want me tell you what I think a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender is?

Pretty straight forward I'd say.

Are you asking me to share my application of pisteuo or saving Faith?

No I'm asking you to actually read what I'm saying.
I have also asked you to provide a link to vines and strongs that back up your words.
Even asked you to copy and paste them from your resources.

Yet you have not.

Yet I have.
