You actually are! You're just looking at "salvation" from another level.
Remember "the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe." (Jude 1:5)
In modern Christendom, many have been led to believe that "being saved" is the end; and we have now obtained all the promises of God and have heaven when we die. If that we even remotely true, then all the warnings of Paul, Peter, James, John, Jude, & especially the writer of Hebrews, written directly, and only, to "saved" people, would need not have been penned.
If we are to inherit the promises of God in Rev 2 & 3, we must overcome and walk worthy.
