I already think the Gap Theory is bunk. I may watch the videos.
I don't think it is a theory at all, just plain and simple facts. So, if you would, my first question comes from:
Job 38:1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Job 38:2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
Job 38:3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Job 38:5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Job 38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Job 38:8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
Job 38:9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,

8 OR [WHO] shut in with doors the sea when it burst forth from the womb [and] issued
when I made the clouds its garment and thich darkness its swaddling band
Is the "DECEPTION" in God describing to Job the creating of the earth and saying that "ALL THE SONS OF GOD" were singing RIGHT smack dab in the middle of it being created?
(If we are not the sons of God then who were they?? and what did He do with them?? and why is He asking these things of Job?)

Let me ask you a simple question....
We know that God is eternal and is not subject to time....
When do you consider is the Beginning?
I think a nomadic nation wandering around the desert needed answers. They weren’t scientists and astrophysicists. They were superstitious and simple. Moses gave them allegorical accounts that would satisfy their “need to know”. In a world that was multi theistic they wanted to know they were backing the right pony. I’m not saying that the key elements to the Bible like that God is our Creator, isn’t true but the whole creation story has holes. People remember stories, they don’t remember scientific facts, especially when they are uneducated. Christ spoke in parables because they are easy to convey lessons and easy to pass on. Jehovah is our Creator and He is Lord over His creation. He has intellectual property rights if that makes it clearer. Whether we choose to follow and get repurposed at His new Creation, is our choice. There will be no other physical vessel for our spirit to inhabit, if we don’t. Since all pleasure is a result of the physical world we will essentially be in a state lacking any pleasure. It will be endless nothing. At least that’s how God explained it to me.
How many times this world has been populated, will remain s mystery for now. I think there is evidence that civilization rises and falls continually and our Lord warned us of its impending doom.

Its not a mystery as long as you know when is the beginning....
For the past 4300 years the population now is around 7.5 billion...now considering a million years...by ratio the population will be roughly 490 billions....now that is unsustainable...not realistic even not only lnowing the beginning but considering population...gap theory just dont make any sense
Actually, the reverse is the truth, that is if you do a FULL study of the Scriptures on this subject, the "young earth" is the falsehood!
i believe the beginning in genesis is when the earth was created. i believe we have been here for about 6000 and noah's flood was a real global flood.

sounds like this is only invented to fit modern science. i dont believe you can get gap theory by just readin genesis 1. someone show me the gap in the bible text genesis please? then i belive it

The geological column is one name for the time-scale given by geologists everywhere today. I understand it, and how it works. I have actully referred to it from time to time in my years, but I cannot believe it.
Here is a hard fact to consider. What we call "history" is only what has been recorded since there have been alphabets and the ability to write and read. Funny, it begins just about 6,000 years ago. Anything else dreamed up by scientists previous to that is pre-history whichy I place with dinasaurs and alien influieces in ancient times. I have read some pretty crazy thoughts on how aliens came down to build pyramids and made the famous desert land etchings in the Atacama desert of S.A.
It is so wonderful reading the Book given us by our Hevenly Father. It is consistent and makes sense to all with faith, while science of men is just a little bit hard to believe in its entirety...….God bless all in the peace of Jesus, Yeshua, amen.

I wonder if those who believe in a 'young' earth may consider factual evidence of a much older earth, to be outside of God or rather what we think we understand from the intro in Genesis?
I don't believe this is a salvic issue, but as a person of faith and reason, I cannot accept that the earth is only 6000 years old and Abraham rode a dinosaur to work (humor)

Nor does this deductive reasoning.....the flood wiped out all but 8, WW2 killed 60 to 80 million, how many die a year due to disease, famine and war or genocide....explain the vitrified cities found in many locations especially India and Pakistan......the above quote does not prove anything in regards to either view!
