So i've noticed that a LOT of young people these days just don't believe in god. It's even gotten to the point where im laughed at by some people if i tell them im a christian. It can get quite upsetting and i just want to know if it's just around my area that there are hardly any young christians or if you all experience it too?

Yeah... it's sad. There are a few people who say they're christian and they go to church and try not to cuss and such but it's not rly giving their lives to Christ. I don't really know anyone around me who actually lives by God around me so I'm sort of alone whenever I say I love Him around here....

It's the same with me. It can be quite lonely but when im on here i don't feel lonely at all. Thanks for replying Paulasaurus ;)

well they shouldnt laugh they should respect your postion but when i was a kid i wasnt brought up in a christian family but my primey school was u can say alittle religious as they made us pray and read the bible in assemble time but with that just to me things didnt make sense the noahs ark the killing of the first born in egypt who would a god need to kill so much and i read the whole bible saw its bad stupid parts aswell as its good but deduced if this god is real he doesnt deserve worshipping and there fore chose not to and ever since then more reason started building up like different version of the book people interpretation of it people couldnt answer the questions i asked so you could say the relgion itself made me stronger against god

You're right that a lot of stuff in the bible doesn't make sense but a lot it does as well. The main things i take from the bible are the morals it teaches you. To respect each other, not to steal, not to kill etc. You're right in saying that they should respect my position but some people are just mean like that sometimes. Thanks for replying :)

It is a documented large-scale trend. Great Britain is significantly more secular than the United States, and the rest of Europe is significantly more secular than either. As a general trend, society as a whole is and for many years has been becoming more and more secular with each passing generation.

Nonetheless, this shouldn't come as a surprise, nor is it without precedent. In Noah's time, the entire world apart from one single family had turned away from God. 1 Timothy 4 tells us that in latter times people will begin to depart from the faith.

8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8)

I live in Georgia, US; and you would not believe how many non-christians there are around here. It's sad that there aren't many christians in the world. But it's even sader that there aren't as many in the US, concidering the country's moto "In God we Trust"

Yes you're right that Britain isn't very christian at all. It's really quite sad and i think that in the years to come, less and less people will believe in the word of god. I really hope that this trend starts to reverse soon as i don't want my chidren or my grandchildren to live in a world where no-one listens to the inherent word of the lord. Thank you for replying :)

I've always seen America as the most christian country i know. I can't believe that there are a lot of athiests there as well!? I think we all just need to get the word out more about how god loves us all and that anyone can be saved if they just believe! Thank you for replying :)

I've experienced that a lot. I have a sister that I live with that's atheist and thinks the bible is crap. We've had multiple arguments. I've talked to her about God and how I gave up my life and found God. She doesn't believe what i tell her though or understand it. I used to be suicidal, i hated everything and everyone, including my family and even the people i called 'friends' at the time. I wanted to kill everything and myself included. I didn't believe in God or care to think about it.. I'm not gonna go on about my story(but if you wanna know message me!XD) God showed me the truth and I'm a COMPLETELY different person. I was at a friends house once with a bunch of other people and there was a bible and one of the guys there grabbed it and started reading it and after a page or so he closed it and threw it and said "this is a bunch of crap, why do people believe this"and he was only 16 or 17. There's no one my age around me that really truly believes in God and gives their life for God. But I've noticed that if I was surrounded by people like me then God wouldn't work his will through me. Luke 5:32 Jesus said "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." when it comes to the people around me, even my friends, I feel so much different then them. For us that know and give our life everyday for God and are surrounded by people who Don't know God. It is meant for us to be around these people. God put's us in these places so we can teach people to understand and know God, so we can direct them a better way, away from their own way. It's good for us to be around people like that so we can help them. My friends say they believe in God but they don't know or give their lives for God because they don't know how God has already done so many things in their lives and how much their lives would be better if they gave it up for God.

In the United States, parents are concerned about getting the bible back in schools. How about we start by getting it back into the home. That's where all this is coming from.

im 16 and i thought all of my friends were athiests, but when u get to know them i was suprised that some few were Christians, my athiest friends are tottaly cool with it, i was suprisingly very respected, at first a couple laughed at me & were like 'you know that's all fairytales, right?' i ignored it and now everyone respects me more for it if anything...

There are very few Christians I think in NYC even though there are no official stats for this city. We just need to pray and get the word of God out in a way that won't annoy people. Way's that actually get people's attention. People make fun of me sometimes, but some kids actually respect me a lot. I also hope my kids don't grow up in a world where everyone dislikes Christianity even more than they do today.

It's everywhere.. I live in Germany where 99 percent are Atheist.. My age mate smokes and drinks and parties and all sort of.. So I can say i live in a say i'm like the only christian. Or maybe there are two more...lol

If u think it's bad 4 u, then it's even worse for me, coz right now i live with my dad and my bro and step mum and step bro and sis @ I AM THE ONLY *CHRISTIAN* IN THE HOUSE . but i still love God.. I always will

Yes, i have seen that but i've also seen other things that i'd just like to share

1. Older Christians and younger Christians have forgotten the power and need of prayer

2. Too many churches are going down the route where churches are all about singing... not gospel centered, so when younger people come to the church they think it's a joke

Thanks all :D

Protection_Retribution, you think 60% of Germans are christains?, try them!!!.. Moreover, I live in Germany..

I think it is less than 1% Christians in the Middle East ALONE, And think then about Israel and how many Christians are there.......And that is where it came from (actually it came from God and Christ)

You are definately not alone. I live in a small rural town in Ohio and the bulk of people only care about partying, sex, basically fulfilling all of their fleshly desires. What is even worse is that the parents take part in these immoral activities with their children and seem to condone it. I don't know if this is a "if you can't beat em' join em attitude" or what, but it just amazes me. Sometimes it seems hard to be a light in this world when it appears that the people have turned their back on God. Good thing He hasn't turned His back on them. I know that there will be a time when a lot more people are seeking God because they will have nobody else to turn to. Also one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that JESUS IS LORD! It is heartbreaking though to see a country that was founded as "One nation under God" has fallen to what it is today. :(
