This is a problem then, since the gospel does not require a "Stanford University level" of teaching or knowledge to be understood.... we are told to have child like faith.

But I would agree you are accountable for what you are sharing which basically shuts people out of salvation
And let the misrepresentation begin. This is you being let go.

Did not seem right to put a "like" (y) on this...but sadly yes:(
But undergrace, I do give you respect for at least trying to have the discussion. Not just hiding in the bushes throwing rocks while claiming to be a gifted teacher.

Having shared this with alot of folks, I know when the name-calling and misrepresentations start , the convo is over. I'm rooting for you.

Amen.....and like OIL AND WATER.....Grace plus works for salvation will never = saved..........!!
It is hard to get out of the way though especially if you have been raised with "it all depends on you" mentality. That has been one of my struggles.

Exactly why Jesus said the "converts" of the Pharisees were two fold the children of hell....not only do they have to get over being lost, now they have to get over a false religion as well <--Two fold the child if hell

Do you mean they have two problems, being lost and false doctrine to unlearn? If so unfortunately not much has changed :(

You've touched on a point I can't explain.

All of God's deeper truths are paradoxes. Without that understanding, we have no chance of discerning God's word. Fulfilling pisteuo must start and be maintained and accepted by God first.
The Holy Spirit opens up the Word of God to us...
He gives us the understanding of Scripture as we need it...xox...

Simply put, salvation is: by Grace through faith in the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, with repentance on our part. We do not bring any pious works of our own to the throne of Grace. God says all these works of our own, are equivalent to filthy rags, as the standard is perfection. After conversion, works of righteousness are essential to maintain our relationship, and the means by which we produce the fruits of righteousness.

Paradox

It took my teacher 6 months, at a Stanford University level of teaching, 6 months to just teach what a paradox is. And that was to Quasi genius's who paid Him to learn.

How long would it take me to teach this to someone who doesn't want to learn it?

That is why I warn people at the Start of the salvation journey. And I only talk about what's important, Faith, pisteuo, "a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender."
If no one can understand except geniuses then what good is it?

The Apostle to the geniuses...

And then when someone asks a question you can just say "its only for geniuses"...

I wish I would have thought of it... This is BRILLIANT!!! I'm definitely using this on my wife and kids and everyone at work...

I would take the time to explain it to you but its only for geniuses...:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

I do not think that is actually what he meant although upon first read that is what it sounds like.

Ooh he/she told you that they would not discuss scripture with you when you asked he/she to expand on scripture reference you quoted.

Hmm I wonder why that was the case?

Works of righteousness to maintain relationship with the Father or confession of sin to maintain relationship?

Big difference.
