Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. But the man who loves God is known by God. 1 Corinthians 8:1-3
Isn't it better to be known by God than to compare myself to anyone else or exalt myself as if I'm any better and then be rejected in the end?
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Matthew 7:21-23
after Jesus said this, He went on to say " everyone who hears these Words of Mine and puts them into practice.....
notice- He said this in present tense. meaning the words He was speaking. the words in red.
so, he was not referring back to the Torah, because He quoted parts of the Torah, and also spoke His own words.

It's the "here a little.....there a little."
"No God!"...."But, but, but.......wait!"
It's like a "jigsaw puzzle!" You supply some? He supplies some! You wanna work one border? He wanna work a "little" on that border. Then, move to another part of the puzzle. That's the "way it goes."
Or? You can rest on your laurels, in the smugness of your being saved, and hope and wait for Him to supply the the missing pieces, just because you believe.
Reminds me of several somebodies in this very forum, actually.

jesus told us which one went home justified, the mere fact you teach law as the pharisee did, and refuse to acknowledge you humbled yourself to become poor in spirit (spiritually bankrupt) is more than enough to let us know what you are doing

you can post all the scripture you want, it is meaningless
the legalist works at being obedient, thinking he is saved, he will try to use those works as arguing points on judgment day, jesus will tell them to depart, he never knew them

If you are going to assert claims of Biblical theology you should know the scriptures that support it. Instead you are disrespectfully replying and showing that you speak what you do not know.....

If you had any scriptural knowledge you would know the three passages of scripture i refer 2.
in the words of moses
Deuteronomy 27:26
‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law by observing them.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ ”
In the words of paul
Galatians 3:10
[ The Law Brings a Curse ] For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”
in the words of james
so before you attack people of not knowing the word, as i have told you so many times before, look to yourself, you should have known those verses, especially after i have posted them numerous times
again, if people have ever kept the law, they are not under the curse of the law, period, and they did not need jesus death, period.
the Disciples were Jewish men. they were all born under the Law. gentiles were never and are never under the Law.
I think the o,p. meant well, and was attempting to have a good discussion, the question is akin to asking " when did you stop being a thief ", a unintentional loaded question.
So the point I was trying to state is
If you quote from Jesus words in the 4 Gospels, the Law is meant to be kept.
If you quote from Paul, we are dead to the Law.
Once you recognize that, there is really not much point disputing about Jesus said vs Paul said. It is clearly distinct.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Galatians 3:24-25
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
The Lord said it first in Matthew 11.
Paul then expounds on it in Galatians 3.
They are saying the same things. Just in different ways.

Like Peter Jesus was only preaching to the Jews
Obedience to the law of Moses is implied.
He is just telling the Jews that they still need to acknowledge him as their promised messiah and king and they will find rest in the kingdom

You don't believe that this Rest in Christ is the BASIS of Pauls preaching?
