I never said I was perfect, I will be the firstto tell you I have sinned and probably will again, but I do not live a life as a slave to sin. I seek to use all the strength, guidance and spirit led empowerment He gives me to do His will. DO I fail at times? Yes. DO I then turn to or away from Him? I turn to Him and seek to walk in His narrow path.
Do you believe Jesus?
John 8:34-36, " 34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. 35 The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
John also offers a great explanation:
1 John 3:4, "Whoever commits sin* (#G266), transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law."
*#G266 hamartian ἁμαρτίαν sin
1 John 5:18 We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.
*#G264 hamartanei ἁμαρτάνει, continue to sin
God promises spiritual empowerment, do you believe Him?
Ezekiel 36:26-27, " 26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules."
Here I even have something Paul wrote for you:
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
How do you view this passage? "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me, except follow His commands."
Seriously, no I am not perfect, that does not mean I reject spiritual empowerment to follow His ways. My life is a complete different life than it was when God changed me, and I hope He continues to shape me into what He wants me to be.
