Now you understand why it is very difficult to engage him!
Read my last post. Explains everything in detail.

How do you claim to know greek and can’t even interpret english. Look up the word bring in the dictionary and then tell me bring salvation is the same as saving

If someone brought Jesus to heal a person, does that mean the one who brought Jesus healed the person?

And again I said faith never comes alone. What do you suppose I meant.

I have to say this, but you really have. Comprehension issues

honestly i have no idea where we came from and where we are going and what is going on lolz

i just dont get it. i blame theologians for this over complicated. im too slow to understand the regeneration to grace to faith system. just believe the gospel and you're in how about it
If you’re in a pit and I bring DC to save you. Did I save you by myself? Don’t try to figure out where I’m going, just answer the question as it is stated. Yes or no?

I’m not trying to trick you

What do you say @Melach? It’s not complicated. If you are trapped in a pit, and I BRING DC because he’s the only one strong enough to lift you out, did I save you all by myself. Or did I by myself BRING your salvation

So saving and bringing salvation is not the same thing. Faith alone brings Christ our saviour who alone saves us. And as I said, faith never comes alone, she brings regeneration and all the other aspects of salvation, which are works of God and of Grace

So simple a regenerate child can understand

Definition of bring. To cause someone or something to come to a place. So in order to bring something, there is two. The bringer and the thing brought. Unless the bringer brings himself which would mean faith is the same as salvation. But we know that is not so

So faith is one thing and salvation is another. But what is salvation? It is what God does

Therefore, faith does not save, IT BRINGS SALVATION to us.

BOOMSHAKALAKA

Totally different things

Oh and it only gets complicated when desperate people quote you out of context

Are y’all awake yet?

You know you could have saved yourself (hahaha pun intended) some time and effort by just recognizing that when people state by faith alone they are not separating it from grace but from WORKS!!

Faith doesn’t save. It brings salvation

God saves

Not that controversial really. It’s funny that I had to spend so much time explaining such an elementary principle. Especially to a professed Bible scholar. He should have recognized what I was doing immedietely

But anyways it is true that faith does not save. Faith brings salvation to us.

If you think faith saves, then you are basing your salvation on what you do instead of what God does

YOU HAVE NOTHING THAT YOU DID NOT RECEIVE. That’s called grace, Bubba

why bible says "your faith has saved you"? Jesus says that to a person.

believing is not works. faith and works belief and works are contrasted in romans 4. its opposite. this is again calvinism where even believing is works. thats why i brought it up sorry VCO had to say it how i saw

To win an argument? No. I see false doctrine being taught here. Saved by grace not of works is not false. Not at all. But teaching that If someone teaches loving obedience to Christ, they are denying Romans 4:4-5 is a bad sign

A. Person a- John wrote everyone who is born of God keeps His commandments

Person bMy bible teaches that the one who does not work is justified

Person a. Paul told Titus to tell believers to be zealous of good works

Person bListen Buddy, we don’t need any of that works salvation peddling around here

Person a. The believer will certainly persevere because God keeps them

Person b. You are a salvation maintainer

Etc

Hold it now, cowboy!

Jesus also said your faith has saved you when he healed physical ailments. Did their faith ALONE heal them, or was their faith a conduit through which Gods grace flowed.

Remember the woman that touched the hem of His garment. Jesus sensed that healing power had gone out of Him

What healed the woman? Her faith or the healing power that flowed from Jesus to her?

Faith is a conduit for God’s grace to flow in that way it saves. But it does not save alone. There is a power that faith connects to that brings radical transformation. Excluding that is what produces powerless Christians, or worse, people who think they’re saved and are not

It all boils down to what are we winning people with? Whatever you win them with, that’s what you’re winning them too. James White

If you preach a weak gospel that does not have power to transform, you create weak powerless Christians. Like the kind that dc mentioned , saved 50 years and no fruit

Faith is part of salvation and stop trying to separate it out.

There is no salvation without faith, the instrumentality of faith or faith as a vehicle is an essential part of salvation.

There is no light in the room I’m in without a light switch. But you don’t think the light switch produced light all by itself, do you?
