I've put a few peeps on Eeyore but never on ignore.
Is there an eyeore button. Is it for people that are always complaining? That would be good.
They could be typing 'this thread is the worst thread ever, the OP is an îdiot! but when it gets posted it changes to 'this is the best thread ever and the OP is a genius' lol

Yeah, for peeps that complain and whine. Basically, for peeps that take away the joy of being on this site and will lead you to a depressed state if you let them.

I have a room with my equipment and supplies, costumes (They are for work. I guess that still sounds weird, lol), a spare bed and a chair. It has become storage space as that is at a premium. I have found that the place everything, creatively speaking, happens, is at the kitchen table. I swivel my chair at the table around to do my writing on my computer. It is also a good space to lay out odds and ends to see what they will be. I found a great outdoor water tap and used it as the center of a basket. I could see that the colour of the twigs looked wonderful with the royal blue of the tap. In my kitchen, with the natural light coming from the balcony window, I like how things look. I can see their real colours. When I create rugs I can lay out the wool and see the shades and how they work together. I can also easily be found and that puts me at rest. I do not feel disconnected. I have my alone time but it keeps me from being lonely.

Thats cool you got a balcony you can put plants there. Have you heard that song 'up on the roof' that used to be my place to go to at lunchtime when I was doing this job that was stuck in the basement of an office with a dozen others working at a computer for 8 hours.
My goodness😮! That would make it very hard for me to work under those conditions.

🤗nicely thought out post. The friendly hug is for the comment of when you feel alone, not a fun feeling.

Thanks so much and I send you one in return. Sometimes I am really lonely as, recently, I've lost a couple of friends, a few have moved and one has decided that having single friends isn't part of being in a growing relationship. When I get to that point I start looking around for others that may be on their own and need a cup of tea and a smile. Bless you for your kindness.

Thank you for the return of one, could user one this week, Oy Vey, lol.
That is a great thing, to invite others in for a cup of tea and a smile. Who doesn't like a cup of tea and everyone can use a smile now and then. It's like when you see someone down in the store and you either go up to them and start a random conversation with them (the is ALWAYS something to be found to connect with another about if it is truly on your heart to try) or just smile at them and say a silent prayer to our ever present Lord for them(as he knows whatever they truly need prayer for anyway), depending on what is placed on our hearts to do. The world calls it Random Acts of Kindness. I would submit to you (and everyone else reading, lol) it is most deliberate, starting with the compassion placed in our hearts for them, to our blessing of wanting to follow that stirring in our hearts for them...

I live with my mother, so really my only “me” space is my room.

I have standard bedroom things like my bed, night stand, drawers as well as a standard bedroom lamp. But I also have decorations! I have art prints on my walls, stickers, posters, and my own drawings too! There is a corner on my drawers that I put my sonic figure and comic book (signed by Tracey Yardly), and also an area for my plushies!

Sounds like you make the most out of the space in your room to personalize it too, that's great! I'm glad God had blessed you with an artistic outlet, those are fun and good for the soul🙂. Keep up on the art Artsie! 👍

I think a room only becomes your own once you decorate it.

My brother is renting a flat, its got two bedrooms and he has it all to himself. Problem is, this flat is a newer unit/townhouse that is like eight dwellings on one property, and its all so soul-less and grey. The walls are grey, the carpet is grey, and the driveway is grey concrete.

I visited him yesterday and I felt a bit sorry for him living in a new shoebox like that. He didnt have any decoration at all just his stuff he needed for work. He likes antiques which he has at home but he cant decorate this new flat with antiques cos what antiques go with grey modern interiors? It reminded me of the colours of prison. Yep been inside and its...grey.

The outside has just three plants. The one spot of colour is a pink lorapetalum.
