I had said:
TheDivineWatermark said:
--"at THE revelation of Jesus Christ" refers to His coming/return/presence
(whether you want to say Rapture of [correction: 'or '] 2nd Coming)
--"IN revelation [of Jesus Christ]"
("BEING brought to you" present participle) with NO definite article, is NOT referring to THAT ^ , but rather "revelation" (as in, "understanding"... and "[so that...reminding them re:]... having been established in the present truth")
Oh. No wonder I didn't see the distinction.
So you think that what Peter talks about in 1 peter 1:13 is different than what Paul talks about in Ephesians 1:17?
So, you can answer your own question, by viewing whether there IS or IS NOT a "definite article ['THE']" in front of the word "revelation" (in any given passage). :)

I sometimes show people scripture that they don't understand. I don't mean to.

I didn't know that people sometimes say things and don't understand the implications of what they say. So when I show them that those implications are wrong all I get are..... ????????????? I didn't say that....

Its funny that you say Replacement theology every time you are shown that there aren't 2 gospels going simultaneously. You've got that one down very well.

I was going to wait to see what YOU thought the implications of this 2 gospels were but I don't know if that is ever going to happen. Maybe you don't even know.
I keep saying "replacement theology" to you because you don`t seem to believe the next age is going to be Israel`s golden age. Any implication that I separate Christ and grace is contrived and to be blunt, is just stupid.

Implications of the 2 gospels, If you read what I said in several places, the first gospel was rolled into the second and in time Paul`s revelations became known, understood and accepted by the all Jewish churches. The Jewish only churches themselves were persecuted out of existence in the late first century and did not reappear until the modern Messianic movement began in the 1800`s.The reappearance of all Jewish churches is an endtime sign.

For these reasons and more I ignore posts that scream out Galatian error, it`s not applicable to me and simply shows that people around here attack me without even reading what I said.

Ok then. 2 gospel heresy it is.

A perfectly human response to all the mud slinging one has to put up with around here. It`s not a sin and you certainly have no room to talk. After knowing you I would never put my confidence in a chaplain.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Oh, I can talk because I don’t make condescending remarks towards others then state that jokes are not biblical. But don’t worry, dear, I’m not going to stop your hypocrisy; I look forward to the Word of God taking its action against you.

The paulines are crafty.
Most here are not aware of the heresy they are embracing

seems like every time a person turns around there is some other lying cult to address

and make no mistake (said in an authoratative voice) this 2 gospel polka is not the gospel so what is left to call it?

cult

So you believe the following verse is what is happening NOW (ongoingly)?

"and to you being oppressed, repose with us at [/in] the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with His mighty angels"

You must be joking.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

What do you think happens here???

You can't come to Christ and receive knowledge of Him without receiving His Grace.

Or did I just get lucky???
I guess you are very lucky if you already have rest. I look forward to my rest when Christ comes back. This world give me nothing but trouble. Along with Paul:

1 Cor. 15:19 "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable."

And Christ:

John 16:33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

2 Thessalonians 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

Shall be revealed is different than The Revelation of Christ. (Maybe)

What bible are you using?

That`s a really unChristian remark. You could find your own judgement coming right back at you.

The Greek translates to "in the revelation of" (in that verse)

EDIT TO ADD:

[quoting from BibleHub]

"2. tropically, in N. T. and ecclesiastical language (see end), a. a disclosure of truth, instruction, concerning divine things before unknown — especially those relating to the Christian salvation — given to the soul by God himself, or by the ascended Christ, especially through the operation of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:10), and so to be distinguished from other methods of instruction [...]"

[and]

"b. equivalent to τό ἀποκαλύπτεσθαι as used of events by which things or states or persons hitherto withdrawn from view are made visible to all, manifestation, appearance, [...]"

[end quoting]

Here's another:

"so as for you not to be lacking in any gift as you eagerly await the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ"

I think thats the major problem with Christianity.

Too many are waiting for Christ to come back before they can have faith.

I have rest from work at the law. Not rest from trials and tribulations. Although having that Peace that passes all understanding sure does help with those trials and tribulations. It doesn't make them stop.

Revelation of His Glory seems different than the Revelation of Christ at first glance.

But then I started thinking about it.

You would need the Revelation of Christ in order to rejoice in the revelation of His Glory. So maybe the revelation of His Glory is part of the Revelation of Christ.

So this ^ is what I am saying, when I say there is a distinction between "IN revelation of Jesus Christ" (with NO definite article), and "at/in THE revelation of..." .

See what I mean?

[by the way, in 2Th1:7, there is no word "when," nor words "shall be"... it is simply "repose with us IN THE REVELATION of the Lord Jesus from heaven with..."]

You sure you aren`t guilty of replacement theology? I`ve yet to see you answer that question.
Replacement theology isn't actually a thing. There is One way to God and that is through the Lord Jesus Christ. No other way. We are grafted into the same vine. We share the same blessing of that. Physical Jews need to do the same thing as us in order to be grafted back into the vine. Come to Christ.

We started out talking about 1 Peter 1:13, which says (specifically):

"Therefore having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober-minded, set your hope fully upon the grace being brought [present participle] to you IN revelation of Jesus Christ"

(this is not the other "in/at THE revelation of" thing)
