Why did you start this discussion with me?
You said that no one was in hell yet and hell isn't even in the version of Bible your using. Your version calls hell hades.
So has anyone been to hades/hell yet or no?
Did Jesus go to hell/hades or not?
I told you, your strange unique terminoly, would cause unnecessary arguments. You have several of your terms, are not our terms for the same thing. You have got to learn to explain your terms.
NO ONE IS IN HELL yet, it is the LAKE OF FIRE. AND WILL BE A PERMANENT PLACE OF TORMENT FOR THE Second Resurrection UNBELIEVERS, But the first TWO to be CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE are the BEAST and the FALSE PROPHET. Followed by the DEVIL, (The Unholy Trinity), Then Death and Hades were cast into the Lake of Fire, and THEN RESURRECTED Unrighteous, will go there too.
Revelation 19:19-20 (HCSB)
19 Then I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and against His army.
20 But the beast was taken prisoner, and along with him the false prophet, who had performed the signs in his presence. He deceived those who accepted the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image with these signs. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
Revelation 20:10 (HCSB)
10 The Devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Revelation 20:14-15 (ASV)
14 And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death,
even the lake of fire.
15 And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
What happens to the Unrighteous when they die ? ? ?
They go to the Place of Torment for the Disembodied spirits of the Unrighteous, KNOWN AS HADES.
YES, it is a REAL PLACE, the Story of Lazarus and the Rich Man is a REAL BIOGRAPHICAL STORY.
And the label spiritually dead, DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE NO FUNCTIONING, AND CAN FEEL THE TORMENT TOO.
Luke 16:19-31 (ESV)
19 “There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day.
20 And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores,
21 who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried,
23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side.
24 And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’
25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.
26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’
27 And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father’s house—
28 for I have five brothers—so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’
29 But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’
30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
31 He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’”
What makes me so sure this is not a Parable?
JESUS NEVER called anyone by NAME in any of HIS Parables, and In
Mal. 3:6, HE SAID HE DOES NOT CHANGE.
Why did Jesus Not name the RICH MAN then?
HE did not want to embarrass the 5 Brothers of the Rich Man, it is just being Courteous.
What else is a BIG CLUE that this is a true biographical Story?
The fact that HE NUMBERED the exact number of the Rich Man's brothers.
The KJV says that ABRAHAM had Lazarus in his Bosom, what does that mean?
Back in the 1900's we had an expression "bosom buddies", the Arab and Mid-East Countries never LOST that tradition.
.
.
.
That is what it means by walking in the bosom of another.
