amen i believe in easy believism. and once saved always saved. i quote what i said in other topic:
its easy to be saved
its as easy as:
drinking a glass of water:
John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
eating:
John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
entering through a door:
John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
looking:
John 3:14-15 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Yes, but all the works of salvation are done by God, and you are emphasizing what YOU DO.
Regeneration is a work of God. Therefore it is not easy, it is IMPOSSIBLE (for us), but with God all things are possible
Easy believism is justification without true regeneration. Scripture says you must be born again, hereby we know that we know Him...and then lists several effects of regeneration, which people say have nothing to do with salvation. But they are conflating salvation and justification. Regeneration is also an aspect of salvation, and if you are not regenerate, you are not justified. Now go study what the Bible gives as characteristics of those who are regenerate.
They keep His commands. 1 John 2:4
They love brother. 1 John 2:10
Love is not in mere words, but in action. 1 John 3:18
They persevere. Hebrews 3:6
These are effects of regeneration, and there are many more. The scripture says if we do not have these, we are not regenerate. And if we are not regenerate, we are not justified. They go together infallibly
These effects do not save, they are not the cause, but scripture is clear that they always accompany regeneration. You need to deeply study the epistles of John, James, Peter, and Paul who go into this inndepth
Not fruit inspecting. Just stating clear teaching of scripture
