Tax the rich is the go to move for socialists. That's the answer to how to pay for everything. Tax the rich. They say it every single time. So that's my point, the "rich" so called already pay more in taxes, so why should they pay more?! They work hard as the next person. And who is considered "rich"? Who gets to say what that bracket is? We've never had an issue before Mag. and I don't want one now. The new deal was a bust. It's odd to me that you think Dems are "for the people" and Repbs. are for the rich. Bernie Sanders admits he made his fortune off of his book, capitalism, and says he won't apologize for it. The Obamas, the Clintons, Pelosi, et al, they are stinking loaded. And they did that through capitalism, and they know it. They are hypocrites. And when they implement socialism, they will be the ruling class. There will be the very poor and the very rich, no in between. Socialism doesn't work. It's been proven down through history. I'm sorry,sometimes issues are black and white, it's just that simple.

I'm not sure who you mean when you say "love our neighbors" If you mean illegal alien's, yes, you can love them but you don't accept them into the country. We have borders for a reason.

And the rest of us don't? I'm sorry I see that as a cop out. I don't have children, but I have two nephews and I don't want to see them suffer like Venezuela. The GOP platform stands against abortion, for the family, for Israel, against socialist/communism, against anti-Semitism just to name a few. If that isn't choosing Jesus I don't know what is. You need to truly listen to what the Dems have planned and make sure that sitting out is the right choice. Because again, someone will win, and when you refuse to vote that vote still counts. To those who are given much, much is expected. My biological Mother was a homeless teenage runaway. My step father was born in 1914 and was a dust bowl refugee. A WW2 Vet and a Union member for 37 years. I served during Viet Nam. My son served in Iraq and Kuwait. My oldest grandson is in the Navy. We have a pretty good grasp of what's going on and I assure you we oppose war for profit, abortion and homelessness. How can anybody choose either side unless we become selective of which evils we hate and which we overlook? Some things may be worse than others but is war over oil and opium just not bad enough? or can we keep our society free and healthy as our children educated in marketable skills without paying taxes? Military personnel should be nonpartisan. At least we shall not be voicing our opinions in favor of one candidate or president.

The president, regardless of whom is serving as president, shall at all times be sure of one thing: That everyone serving as any kind of military personnel is 100% reliable and is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for him and the people.

Listen, who you vote for is up to you. If you don't vote, also up to you. But you seem to be left leaning in the issues you talk about. JMO. But to me, voting is a duty and an honor especially for a Christian and especially when the country is at risk of socialism, among other things. As I said before, the issue of abortion alone should be a reason to go vote. I'm not American, but I can't understand why anyone would not vote and take advantage of the freedom they have. So many around the world would love to have that type of freedom. So no, sorry, I don't get it. I don't get it at all.

If you think capitalism is putting profit before people, sit back and let the Dems get in. I care about the national debt, that's why I don't want the socialists to get in. Healthcare needs to be changed, but free healthcare isn't the answer. Socialism isn't the answer. Taxes are through the roof in Canada, my friends and loved ones back home are saying they don't know how they are going to afford to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table if Trudeau gets in again with his own green new deal taxes. Raising taxes isn't the cure all for everything. It demolishes the middle class, like what happened under Obama.

High taxes do not work. The Bible says not to overburden the people. High taxes are paid by the middle class. The poor are taken care of by the gov't. So the middle class are the ones working hard to pay for all the gov't hand outs. They are the ones the suffered under Obama. It's just now they are getting back on their feet. I've seen at least ten houses built around my neighborhood in the last year and a half. That didn't happen under Obama, no one could afford to build, people were moving back in with their parents, there were no jobs to be found.

Then you of all people should understand how important it is to vote. We cannot keep our society free if we don't fight for it, and we do that at the ballot box. Look at the platforms of both parties. Dems are for handouts, Reps are for hand ups. On every issue Reps. are closer to the Bible view. I'm all for helping the poor out of poverty,not keeping them there. You want healthy kids with educations? Trump has seen the lowest unemployment rate for blacks, women and others. You want to pay off the debt? Trump has stopped several handouts and millions of dollars we've been paying all over the world. I'll say again, vote or don't vote, but no, I don't "get it" and never will. My parents taught me certain things were expected of me while I was living under their roof. Two of those were 1. You WILL attend church 2. You WILL vote. I hold to those both to this day because they were right!!
