Well Christianity surely will not cause Israel to be jealous by trying to emulate jewish customs.

What will cause Israel to be jealous is how we are Righteous before God and ARE NOT working at the 10 commandments. That's not fair, they should think. We have done this and have done that in Gods Name and yet we are not righteous before Him but these Christians are who just rest in Christs finished work. Its not fair!
It would seem anyway, that the "voidness" of the Word of God within oneself, is the DETERMINING factor, of how someone "views" the efforts of another.
One views it as from the "inside out!
While another "views" these same efforts", as from the "outside in!"
Makes Jesus words that much more truer, doesn't it?
That which is flesh, is flesh! That which is Spirit, is Spirit!
It would seem, I would not have to keep reiterating Jesus admonition to the scribes and pharasee's concerning "traditions of man", and what it does to the Word of God!
I can't do this for anyone. This requires WORK from INSIDE each believer, in the investing of one's "measure of talent!"

One would think, after all these posts and threads, this OSAS crowd would at least "start" getting a "hint" of a flickering of light within their own minds, that I am not talking concerning "salvation." Yet? THIS is ALL the OSAS crowd CARES to speak concerning.

Actually? Never HAS been!

I can't make OSAS people "see" it!

One has to judge angels within one's own self, in being rewarded with "spiritual eyes/ears" to "see/hear!"

Interesting direction we haven't explored yet (or maybe I just haven't been witness to it in this thread yet)...

Has all of The Torah been fulfilled?
Obviously yes.

Otherwise the jots and tittles... Not one would pass from Torah...

The way you have received Salvation is the way you receive ALL blessings from God.

They are without merit. Otherwise you would never receive them.

Which is the opposite of what all the other religions teach, including Judaism.

Do this and be blessed.
Don't do this and be cursed.

Shouldn't our blessing without merit be the cause of the Jews Jealousy seeing as they are still working for their blessing from God??

I would expect we are the cause of ALL the workers Jealousy.

Not all the prophecies are fulfilled. If they had been Jesus would have returned. Which means we here having this talk are in serious trouble.

feast of trumpets
Jews for Jesus points out that this feast is a memorial - meaning that it is to remember an event which has already occurred - and infers that it relates to the giving of the covenant at Sinai. Their position is that it was fulfilled when Christ gave the new covenant of His blood.

Others have seen the events of Pentecost as being directly correlated to the events at Sinai.

Interesting direction we haven't explored yet (or maybe I just haven't been witness to it in this thread yet)..

Has all of The Torah been fulfilled?
The Torah for the Christian is ended. Not for the Jew.

From Isiah chapter 1 we read about the spiritual desolation of the people under Mosaic Law. Remember they were more observant of the law than people are today:-
(4) Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.....

(10) Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.
(11) To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
(12) When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?
(13) Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
(14) Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

(15) And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

However there is a solution whereby people can be made righteous in the sight of God, and writing prophetically Isiah tells them to:-
(18) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

The Christian who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour is washed in the blood of the Lamb. Our sins under the Law of Moses have been made white as snow and are gone in the sea of God's forgetfulness. We have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and are no longer under the law of Moses.

1Pe_1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Rev_7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

However there is no halfway house, it is Jesus every step of the way for the rest of your natural life, and then for eternity.

I thought of this last evening and wanted to share here.

Why would we set to arguing about God's law of love? Why would any of us be adamantly opposed to someone else honoring the Sabbath day when they feel led to? It's their faith and their relationship with the Father. A personal individual connection to the Lord.
Why would anyone argue that basic human decency as outlined and as a matter of having a foundation in love for our self and love for our neighbor as we love our self, be at issue for anyone who is in Christ? When that individual believes the ten commands of God are eternal. Because they are not only grounded in Love for God, ourselves, and our neighbor whom the edicts insure reflect love for that neighbor as we love ourselves who would not trespass against them. These being the two great commands Jesus said the law and the prophets hang upon.
Jesus , when asked what parts of the law apply, didn't say , they don't. Because I am arrived! Jesus reiterated the law in his ministry, the ten commands, and in answering that question informed those attending that love of God and self are what those laws reflect. Love of God. Love of our self and for our neighbor whom we are to love and respect as we love and respect our self.

Why then would there ever be a conflict among the people of God's holy church in these matters? How could we ever dare say the laws of, thou shalt and shalt not, don't apply now?
When those ten commands are reflective of not just love of God, but basic human decency.
And we would dare say, no, that isn't applicable anymore because Jesus delivered the new covenant that exists without that.

I've come to believe the strongest opponents to those ten laws of decency and respect for God are not in the church of our Lord. They're in the congregation of the anti-christ. They know they'll not persuade those anointed of Christ to turn from God but they'll escalate a pointless discussion to that end just to interject tare after tare after tare, so as to gain attention from those who are in Christ. As we erroneously imagine we'll ever be able to set them on the straight and narrow.

This discussion if you read back just 10 pages is going nowhere. It is circling and circling and circling in the same downward direction and repeating the same point and counterpoint only in different phrases. All meaning to present the same message.
God's moral guidance doesn't apply - That's the anti-christ path
You're wrong! - That's the righteous path.
When Jesus did not say the law was abolished but that he had fulfilled it, it meant he fulfilled the laws of Moses so as to make them null and void. Jesus ministry went on to reiterate, re-state, the ten laws of our Father as still in effect when he was asked what laws matter still.
Do we argue now our Savior was wrong? And those against that teaching are right?

Maybe those in the faith and eternal irrevocable embrace of our precious Father might consider that rather than having a discussion here we're actually being approached by the messages and messengers of the enemy of our Father.

2 Corinthians 11:12-15

And I will continue doing what I am doing now, because I want to stop those people from having a reason to brag. They would like to say that the work they brag about is the same as ours. Such men are not true apostles but are workers who lie. They change themselves to look like apostles of Christ. This does not surprise us. Even Satan changes himself to look like an angel of light. So it does not surprise us if Satan’s servants also make themselves look like servants who work for what is right. But in the end they will be punished for what they do.

That's all I wanted to say.

The whole "point" of "discussions(?)" like this?
I, and people like myself, are oh so aware of "who's bed" many of these OSAS, and others, are sleeping in? And, also aware of "strong delusion" that's keeping them there.
Also aware that it is not for, or on their behalf, I, and others post that which we post!
It is for, and on behalf of a "mandate" given, in the PREVENTING younger believers, from becoming SUCKED INTO THEIR VACUUM!

I reckon you see the "circles" these threads inevitably "devolve" into.
As well, as some of the "ungodliness" that becomes "exposed", when some try delving into "rabbit holes", only to find out that they cannot lose, nor render into some "vanishing POINT" the Kingdom of Light.
This is when, and usually where accusations in the form of "name calling", which can also be referred to as "pigeon holing"
(actually referred to in Ezekiel 13 as "untempered mortar." could also be called a"group think" of "prejudice.")
Of the which, time after time, after arriving in such "regions", then they wish for the "meat" to be chewed up for them! This is something one cannot do for another, as it puts undue danger upon the one seeking! If in fact, it is seeking, they are doing.
Me, myself? All I can do is bare witness, and testify that there IS more!
That should these young believers feel the same?
Don't get "caught up" in Christendoms hot housed lilly, shallow rooted OSAS doctrines.
Tis actually sad! These "casualties of war!" That by their traditions of man, have made void the Word of God, as to be a non enemy, if not actually a sympathizer FOR the adversaries cause!
That's what Jesus was trying to teach the scribes and pharasee's.
And this is what "the elect" are trying to teach. As should be seen, that this "cycle of apostasy" is coming around....AGAIN!
To say these ones are NOT saved? Is TRULY above my paygrade!
What ISN'T above my paygrade however, is my citing that these ones are not as FULLY saved as they COULD be. But, are as fully saved as they WANT to be!
Hopefully? For THEIR sakes?
It'll get them TO the end of this current earth/heaven age!

Ok that's a fair point. But do you believe what the Jews say about this matter? They're messianic Jews.

Also (separate question), what about the prophecy in zechariah that speaks of all the nations being required to participate in the feast of tabernacle else they'd receive no rain?

Surely only one feast needs to be unfulfilled to satisfy the "not one jot...till all is fulfilled" requirement.

Yes but there are things in the Torah still not yet fulfilled. Like I just mentioned in my last post, there's a prophecy in Zechariah concerning the nations of the world with regard to the high Sabbath feast of tabernacles found in the Law

I think the OSAS as it is termed is perceived as error because those who perceive it that way think it means those who are saved can do anything they want and still see Heaven.
But that's not the teaching at all. In fact the word tells us those who are redeemed in Christ do not make a habit of sinning, they do not go on sinning, or else the truth , The Word, is not in them.

We are eternally saved as Jesus promised. No one can remove us from his hand. Our names are in the Lamb's Book of Life. Written there before the world began as the Father knew those who would come to be redeemed by name before the world. He called us , as the Son said, no one comes to him unless the Father calls them. And Jesus loses no one whom the Father called.

Therefore, all according to scripture, if anyone thinks they're saved and then doesn't change their former behaviors but think they can act badly and are still redeemed, the Father tells them they are wrong. Not only that but they were never truly saved.
The real meaning of eternal salvation is exactly that. Eternally saved.
We had nothing to do with being saved, it was by God's grace and is irrevocable as that from the Father. When we had nothing to do with being saved, there is no thing those saved by grace can do to unsave themselves. If we could that would make our will superior to God's knowledge of who among us are His due to His knowing us by name before we were even born. Or this world created.

I think the teaching that is in the wrong here is that which purports to insist our Salvation is not eternal. Thus it can be labeled as OSNAS. Once Saved Not Always Saved.
That's not scripture.

Greetings NayborBear,

I have noticed that too; Only speak of Salvation/Justification. "How little can I do to getter done?"

The one phrase I should think would concern them is "Depart from me, I knew you not" Matt 7:23.

Does anyone know what that means when Yahshua says in "that day" depart from me?

Also, has anyone read the last part of that verse to see why they are; One-"Not known by Him" and Two-asked to Depart?

Well, here it is; Ye that work "without the Law".

For everyone who feels that they found the perfect salvation that requires NO SANCTIFICATION/ WORK. You need to humble yourselves, walk the rejection row in front of your "grace only" friends and pick up your cross, endure the sneers, ridicule, persecution and put the old man to death. Walk it like Yahshua did. Then, if you persevere you will hear the words;

Mat 25:23 KJV His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Instead of;

Mat 7:23 KJV And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Think it over carefully. Such a short window/opportuinty to Serve His will, rather than your own.

Yes but there are things in the Torah still not yet fulfilled. Like I just mentioned in my last post, there's a prophecy in Zechariah concerning the nations of the world with regard to the high Sabbath feast of tabernacles found in the Law
As far as salvation is concerned the Torah is of no effect.

If you can't "see" everlasting? The only "fallback position/interpretation" one has left?
Is "eternal."
So yeah.
Keep on thinkin' that way!

Matthew 7
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which LEADETH unto life, and few there be that find it.

1 Peter 2
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Yes. Agreed. Can't justify. Only Christ does. Ok so let's move beyond the elementary truths of Christ onto perfection (Hebrews 6:1)...

So what about the future feast of tabernacles that the world must obey when Christ returns (found in Zechariah 14)? We know this hasn't been fulfilled yet. So has all the Torah been fulfilled?
