Bob, the world is a broken place. But we live in it.

You are NEVER, EVER going to find the perfect candidate or perfect party agenda. WHEN Jesus comes we will have that. UNTIL then you DO have a responsibility to to choose your leaders based on what actions they will take because of the sacrifices made by many others.

Why do you get to abstain from this responsibility and yet enjoy the rewards of a more free society that has given you every conceivable need, and MOST wants?

Are you are any meds? STOP bashing "Big" pharma. Do you drive a car, use public transportation, use anything plastic, eat food transported by "big" oil? STOP bashing oil companies. etc.... You use all these services and products you rail against. Of course there needs to be regulation, and we have that. Understand though the more regulations we have, the more you will pay, and the more drag on the economy we will have.

You DO understand that these "big" companies are comprised of "small" people? And they have families, want clean air, and clean water, and medicines, and 401ks, etc...
Honestly. I'm not sure what a 401k is exactly and I bring up history because it repeats it self. The USA was formed in rebellion to the ruling class but now we are devolving to a 2 class society. What Solomon said in Ecclesiastes was to take some of each side of and not to be devoted to only one. My allegiance is with the Lord before and my family and neighbor the nation.

The oil monopolies are ruining the environment that we are stewards over. Ethanol, methanol and bio diesel are better. Moderate inflation is the sign of a healthy successful working class. I also realize that those of us that stand for right will eventually lose in this life time. I'm not going to take any side that I think is wrong. Seeing the Lord in the millennium and after is more important than this temporary life is to me.

The big pharma monopolies need either to be regulated or from price gouging. That's my Issue with them. Unbridled greed is killing millions. Isn't that more important than profits?

And why can't the narco cartels be deem as invaders against our neighbors and invoke the Monroe Doctrine in their defense? Who would you vote for if they were alive today, Woodrow Wilson or FDR?

President Trump is going to win re-election with close to 400 electoral votes. Four years after that Nikki Haley will be sworn in as our 46th President. 🇺🇸

And that's one of the issues. The electoral college must go.

Thank you. I was of course referring to extremist Nationalism like that that led to Hitler and Musolini. The Marxists believed in confiscating private wealth and property and the Fascists prefer to franchise it. Either way we can learn from their mistakes.
It was not their nationalist ideology that was the basis for those actions.

it was however the basis for their popular support. these men didn't just usurp power against the will of the people; they convinced the people to rally around them.

i meant, usurp as in seizing power through hostile coup.
Hitler & Mussolini were both charismatic, popularly backed, socially conservative, and extreme right-wing. they came to power through support of the people, not by taking over through military force or something. once they gained power, they used it to amass much more, to destroy opposition, in particular seizing control of the media to squelch any criticism and propagate propaganda.
they didn't start out as dictators, but were popularly elected in waves of nationalism carried along through vilification of their opponents.

So here's my take. If he was a good enough guy for the Clintons and all these other celebs to want to rub shoulders with him, he's good enough to be president.
this section of the forum is creepy..

I would state they used their thugs to gain some power and then were able to utilize the power they gained to further establish and consolidate their power with the common people based on nationalistic rhetoric.

So agree in part.:)

Uhm... the popular vote. You know, one person one vote, which doesn't exist today.
No checks no balances... interesting.
The founding fathers did not want a democracy because democracy does not work.
