And I tend to agree with you. The comment that we don't even know what born again means however dosn't seem accurate. Myself and others on this site like @Deade have a grip on it.

It's like mustard seed faith. Being willing to die to the flesh in order to become born anew. It's something we must go through like gold being tested by fire. The pure and the impure metals sepperate like Iron and slag do in a furnace.
The Bible says we are born again by the word of God but you say we are born again by dying to the flesh.

That’s polar opposites, why do you believe that?

I see you are one who understands the law better than parables. The flesh is proud, arrogant, lustful, deceitful. It twists truth into lies and follows the letter of the law rather than the spirit of the law. Thus being circumcised of the heart and not of Hebrew flesh The letter of the law holds less meaning than it's spirit. Is that not simple enough?

I’m sorry but how does your response defend your position that we are saved by denying the flesh rather than being born again by the word of God as scripture says?

Uggh. I never said denying the flesh I said dying to it. Becoming a new spiritual being by way of baptism of the Holy Spirit through faith in the abundant power of Jesus. Not merely through educational means.

Where in the Bible can I find that dying the flesh equates to being born again?

Or where can I find that I’m born again by way of baptism in the Holy Spirit?

Just trying to help you out here and nothing personal but you’re giving these bogus definitions of being born again because you have your own idea of what being born again is and your ignoring what scripture says.

Hence

I've tried as best as I can using Metaphors and allegories in the simplest ways to explain. It baffles me to know why you can't understand such simple truths.

Being born agian is not of the flesh because the flesh is corrupt and will die. Nobody the Lord healed or raised from the dead still lives in the flesh. However those who are born agian upon the resurrection of the dead will be raised. The Holy Spirit is still amoung us. Just ask around.

1Pe 1:23 (KJV) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

How does the verse above say that we are born again?

It is just a matter of faith in the Spirit... I'm checking out for now.

We appear to have a dialect difference which is why I stand on the original position that the KJV is not for everyone! G'nite.

Are you referring to 1 Corinthians 12:13?

"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit"( KJV )

1 Peter 1:23 New International Version (NIV)
23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

NIV says exactly the same so it’s not a dialectic difference.

The seed/word is Christ. It is Christ in us that the Kingdom has its start. We dwell with the hope of immortal resurrection upon Christ's return.

We can call ourselves saved/born again but it is calling prophecy of our future. We consider it a done deal as we have fixed our hearts in Christ. There is no turning back once that happens.

And Jesus is not going to let down on His end: Php. 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” 5thumbsup.gif

Good verse but keep in mind that that verse is referring to believers and not to being born again.

When the Bible says we must be born again to enter or see the kingdom of God, it is not speaking of believers going to heaven it is speaking of believers living right here right now entering into the

No bible version that I’ve seen says we are born again by Christ it clearly says “by the word of God” and to make sure that we don’t misunderstand, it adds “by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”

The above is a quote from Isaiah which is speaking of the word of God and not the Word of God.

Isa 40:8 (KJV) The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

I rest my case! 2cool.gif
