I tried over a week ago, but I was unable to crop it. I just tried again, and I was unable to upload it. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!

If it is 1 MB or over, it won't upload. It needs to be a KB picture. Try resizing it in a photo editor. I use Pixlr. :) Do you have it in an album on here? I could crop it for you if you do.

For future reference, questions like this go in the User to User Tech forum. :)

To post an image in a PM, you need a url :) To get a url, upload your image file
to an image host. The one I use most often is https://postimages.org/

If your file is not sized to below 1M, which I believe it needs to be in order
to be viewed on CC, you can size it to 640 pixels wide during the upload
from the drop down where it says, Do not resize my image.

You should find that 640 pixels is quite sufficient for most images :)

When the upload completes, a list of links will appear. The second one is the direct link.
Copy it and paste it between image tags, like so: [ img] image url here [ /img] but without the spaces ;)

I completed this panel early morning, July 19, 2019:

I size mine before uploading to just under 1M :D That one is 715 x 477 (99.2K)

If you are able to size it in an image editing program, you can upload directly
from your computer to a thread by copy/paste, but I prefer to use urls :)
