I assume he can understand the rapture is pretrib and jesus returns postrib with the saints,who have been with him in heaven during the gt as he foretold at the last supper.

Yep.....the generation which is ALIVE on the planet when these things come to pass...........try to use your brain when reading scripture!!

What does Martin present that I need that is not available in the Bible?
The point includes this;...it seems many have the time to read books but, have not time for the Bible...I don't understand the priority.

Please, look at the question(s) the disciples ask Jesus at Matthew 24:3, "Tell us "WHEN" will these things be, and what will be and what will be the sign of Your coming and the end of the age? When He says "this generation" He is referring to the generation that is existing at the time of His coming and the end of the age.
If this was not so then when did He appear (to this generation according to you) "AFTER" the tribulation according to Matthew 24:29-31? The point is to follow the order of events.

Nothing is more important than the Bible but the Bible does teach we are to have teachers etc. to help us understand things. Even the Apostle Peter said that some of the tings that the Apostle Paul writes are hard to understand.
And another thing, are you awar of 1 Corinthians 11:19? "For there must also be factions among you, in order tha those who are approved may have bcome evident among you." In other words, divisions or differences of opinions serve to come to the truth.

....and I am also aware......"some things are reserved for our Father's knowledge only"....and...."it shall be revealed in due time"....and...."we will be given understanding as we are able to receive it", etc.
The Pope says to the homosexual..."if G-d made you that way then He loves you that way"....what a crock.
Recently, ......Andy Stanley, son of the tv money making preacher...Charles Stanley...., says ...."the ten commandments no longer applies to us Christians". Not true.
Further, another tv preacher, John Hagee, says..."regardless of the Jews rejecting Christ as Savior...they will be saved". Nothing in scripture validates that in any way, etc.
Beware of the teacher, remember the Bible says..."in the end times there will be great deceptions". We are there.
Test all persons advice with scripture.

You are correct in that, "this generation" is referring to the generation that is living at the time when all of those signs begin to take place which usher in the Lord's return and the end of the age and which will affect the entire world and not just Israel.
All of the signs that Jesus mentions identify "this generation" as the one where all of those signs take place. They are an integral part of identifying the generation that Jesus was speaking about. The seals, trumpets and bowl judgments and rest of the information in Revelation is also apart of those signs, because Jesus doesn't return to the earth to end the age until after the 7th bowl has been poured out.
I would offer there is none and neither will there be. We should look to the signified meaning in the parables. It provides the faith to understanding the unseen eternal understanding.
That portion of scripture is not given as a sign and wonder. . . . two things working as one. not a sign we are instructed to watch out for.
Its not a famine for the things seen but the hearing of the gospel .we but it and do not sell.
Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
Not just a sign like the sign of the times etc. But a sign that causes a wonderment as a source of faith looking ahead . Jesus say its an evil generation (natural unconverted men) that does walk by sight seeking after the temporal. a pagan foundation.

The context was Israel and *this generation* was a direct reference to Israel at the second coming of Christ. Indeed, the word genea (translated as generation) can also mean a race or a nation. Israel was wiped off the map in AD 70, and the assumption of some of the early Gentile Christians was that God was finished with Israel. Hence Replacement Theology. But today Israel is a flourishing secular nation-state and God will resume His direct dealings with Israel after the second coming of Christ (which will come after "the time of Jacob's trouble", which is the Tribulation).

I see that you gave me a disagree. However, if you read the scripture, you will see that "this generation" the Jesus was speaking about, is directly linked to the signs that he listed. Therefore, those signs are what identify generation that He was referring to. And since those signs have not yet taken place, then you have no fulfillment.
It would be grammatically incorrect for Jesus to identify that generation as being the one where those signs take place and then say that the generation that He was currently living in is that generation. It would nullify the need for those signs that He previously mentioned as proof. From the time that Jesus quoted Daniel regarding the abomination being set up to the time that the temple was destroyed, we have no fulfillment of the abomination being set up, which is one of the signs and also marks the middle of the seven years
As far as those signs and those of Revelation affecting the entire world, I don't need to debate, because all one has to do is do a study on the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments to see that the entire world is affected.
It is generally thought that Christ was referring to the ....generation present.... when Israel was re-established as a nation. (1948). Those would be 70 years old now.

So you mean the "immediate" context is referring to Israel, right? And I do not believie in replacement theology because the Jews are still God's chosen people. In fact, Jesus said the following at John 4:22, "You worship that which you do not know; we worship that which we know, FOR SALVATION IS FROM THE JEWS." Lastly, God has 'ALWAYS" had a remnat of His people (the Jews) around.

Above is ample evidence that “this generation” means that generation.
