When I was down last, about 4 weeks ago, I seen a story on News 9 out of Sydney that some family had an encounter with a Yowie in the northern part of NSW on the Blue Mountains side.........
Yes there are stories of such creatures from various regions.
Usually dense and remote forest and mountain areas.
I too had an experience of being stalked by a two-footed creature (which I could not see but did hear its pounding steps) when
I was hitchhiking all by myself between Port Augusta and Whyalla in the wee hours of the morning - some 40 years ago.
A lonely isolated stretch of road in the outback.
And then off to my left I heard the noise of some creature stomping. I knew it wasn't cattle or a roo.
This had a two-footed gait and was power walking over towards me.
Eventually it crashed through the paddock fencing and crashed through the roadside vegetation only a short distance from me.
I could hear the four strand wire fencing twang from the creature simply stepping onto it and then stepping off to keep on going.
Thank God Jesus was watching over me because he provided a car full of youths heading back to Whyalla to stop and pick me up,
moments before this creature would have come out into the open to ... ??
I have no idea what it was that came after me that night in the middle of nowhere, but it sure was not friendly.
