To the glory is our living hope...
I would agree many different theories . Glory seems to be the key. When the glory of God departs corruption the wrath of God begins.
The church is a representative glory of God who alone stands in the holy unseen place. Something happened in the twinkling of the eye in the beginning .
When mankind realized he was not clothed with the righteousness of Christ immediately they knew God had departed and the lack of light showed they were without God. Nakedness is a private affair with two walking together as one light. The two become one.
It would appear as a result of the corruption they saw each other separately. . . . through a new kind of sight as in out of sight out of mind.( No faith) . It caused a blindness to the things revealed by faith.... neither could they hear his voice after he departed .
Thankfully he gives us the gospel eyes and ears to hear as we eat of the fruit of His righteousness our tree of spirit life.
Isaiah 29:18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.
The Ark as a metaphor or shadow represented of the unseen glory of God
1 Samuel 4:21 And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken.

Getting dressed in the righteousness of Christ, as the glory of God? What do you think happened in the twinkling of the eye? Who told her she was naked? Did someone open up her eyes as a new way of seeing things. as in out of sight out of mind...No faith?
Their clothes wore out until they could find some more leaves? Got a better idea?

Unfotunately the view of nakedness is the same as being unclean.
A priest could not go up steps incase they exposed something.

clothing is the facade of the world, the illusion and the lie. Its one of the ways we are seperate from God, by covering ourselves. It also defines us, some where $1200 suits, others jeans and a t shirt with Van Halen images on it. It is not who mankind truthfully is, we are all in this together. Nakedness was used to punish mankind because of their traditions. As I have posted previously, I find it profoundly spiritual being naked, and so free. I am as God intended all along.

That one post is on an issue that would ONLY be interesting, controversial, or ethically complicated to a complete non-believer.
That one post, in modern culture, would be VERY interesting and salacious in a political discussion, or in a sociology discussion... it would be quite boring, anemic, and easily resolved in any discussion of theology or practical ministry.
My Conclusion?
It seems more like a sociology experiment than a legitimate post.
