Wasnt it the jewish people who commited suicide at Masada rather than turn to pagan gods of the Romans. I am wondering what led them to that point. I dont know how they did it, but it wasnt a case of deliberately throwing themselves to the lions.

The fathers killed their families, then drew lots to determine who would kill them. That person then committed suicide. Their position was it was better to be dead than slaves to the Romans.
All I know is it is heartbreaking. I know for those who are in this deep pain are not thinking clearly. I pray for His revealing in the minds and hearts of those deeply broken. I also pray for the families and friends of those who took this extreme tragic measure.
I know of a young man who loved His Heavenly Father very much, who was actively seeking Him. His mother is very mentally ill and so was he. Unfortunately, one night he surrendered to the pain, instead of God and took his life. I believe God knows his heart and his mental illness and pardoned him. I don't know though. I pray now that his mother finds God's comfort.

First off, nobody is leaving this earth, at least for another thousand years. Everyone has God's promise to be resurrected. What they are resurrected for: antichrist had hid for the last two thousand years. That is where all our doctrines differ. The devil has you convinced you have a sadistic God and won't let you believe otherwise.

I am sorry @preston39 for this railing I dumped on you. I was just disappointed of your heaven talk implied by while "on this earth." I just thought a son of Levi would know better. I have a saying: "If someone disappointed you, maybe your expectations were set too high."
I kinda cringe when someone talks "going to heaven" because I don't see scripture saying so. Do not confuse heavenly with heaven. There is a heavenly plane (or dimension) right here on earth. All the holy angels and demons are there. The Kingdom of Heaven will be coming to earth soon.
Wrong....there is no scripture which says when G-d will call an end to the current era of mans day, the church age, the day of grace.
But, (since you " stay with G-d's word"........which is highly questionable) you must have a basis....so please show supporting scripture...?
