"What I want us all to be aware of there may come a time in our own lives when we have to do something we know is wrong to make something right"

I know you have good intentions,
but it may be an ethical error to tell Christians to start thinking about doing wrong things.

I don't think that squares with any scripture.

Maybe we should take a deep breath, take s step back, and think more carefully about what we're saying.

God Bless.
..

I am not saying, that is what we are to do,for none of us know the future. What I am asking is what is required of us when we may have to do something unethical to us to benefit the lives of other ppl. As has been pointed out Rahab lied about hiding the spies,Jacb and his mother both deceived Issac! Where is the line in the sand so to speak on how we are to act if evil is in complete control, and is maybe targeting a certain ppl, race, belief system or family? I think we sometimes look at our walk with God thru rose colored glasses, expecting our country or environment won't come under fire of evil! Every soul that breathes has to make daily decisions on whether to obey or disobey God! SIN does not inherit the kingdom of God! Only God the Father knows the time He will remove the bride for His son,it could be in the next five minutes or fifty yrs from now. I do believe the world is much more evil and antagonistic and intolerable of ppl they think don't fit the norm. We cannot know tomorrow, only God does!

Christians are never to do anything unethical.

Please read my other posts.
We need to look at all of this in a slightly different way.

God Bless.

Is it unethical to lie or cover to save someone from death or torture? Is it unethical to steal to feed someone in you care who is under persecution? Is it unethical to hide persecuted ppl from evil corrupt hunters?

The solution would be to look at overriding principles... principles which are more important, which could override the others.

You might feel it's ok to lie to the nazis and hide a jew, because "thou shalt not kill" is more important than "thou shalt not lie".
Essentially, a human life is more important than one lie to a Nazi.

This is kind of the process, and how we'd arrive at the proper solutions.

It's still not easy.

I do NOT know answers to ALL questions or thoughts,do you? We are of course to live above sin and be lead by the Holy Spirit in ALL we do. I'm not talking about just sins of the flesh that tempt christians,I'm trying to find answers and to make aware that in our time we may truly face evil and these delemias!

Could these same principles and adjustments not be called upon in our time as well! Yes they very could. We have mostly not been troubled in the U.S. with out right persecution on a grand scale but.......WHAT IF?

People have faced dilemmas before.

These problems aren't new.

What I'm pointing out is that we simply need to view this problem, and thereby approach the problem, in a certain way.
Sorting through these things is not easy.
But we do it by thinking deeply about Bible Principles... and thinking about how some principles might override others at times.
That is the solution.

You are getting no argument from me! I just pray that should I ever have to face any such delemmas that I would trust God for His direction!

I hope we don't go through all kinds of terrible things.

But if we do... God promises that he's always with us.
And historically, it seems that when Christians undergo persecution, God gives them special grace to handle it.

If you're God's child, I'm sure you'll be fine.
God can protect us through anything.
And if we suffer, it is only because God allows it... in which case we can still trust in him.

I agree that we are not to put ourselves nor family in harm's way. I do believe it would have to be of the Lord's leading to move people about. Just what if there was no safe place to be?. I am asking these questions bc God alone knows what may be that we may face!

@controversial has aptly state that Rahab the harlot hid the spies from the enemy and received honorable mention in the N. T. for so doing. It was imputed to her for righteousness and she lied in doing so! T y dc!

What I want us all to be aware of us there may come a time in our own lives when we have to do something we know is wrong to make something right!
I was raised believing in the imminent return and even dogmatically defended it.....once I started actually studying through the bible in Seminary (twice a year for four years) I began to see things that did not jive with what I had been taught growing up. I no longer buy that view....I fully believe post Great Trib/Pre-Wrath ingathering at the 7th trump of Revelation......There are 4 things that kill tribulation saints and to be fully honest with the bolded above in your post....I will, without hesitation, defend my family, friends and other believers as lethally as I can from bloody and deceitful men. The Marine will be unleashed in that day and I am fully prepped and prepared for what is coming...............!!!

I only know we will be spared the WRATH OF GOD! Jesus drank of that cup for us! I still am unsure when or if I believe we will be raptured before the tribulation comes. I do wonder how many weak brethren will be the first to turn others in for true faith believers in Jesus! It has happened many times throughout history and most likely will again!

I want to be strong enough EVERY day to do what my Lord Jesus ask of me,even unto my own death! I have no fighting skills can't even " hit the broad side of a barn, shooting"! I am however NOT as dumb as some would think and am very gifted at organization. I also can see the " big" picture clearly!

There is a reason why Paul ties the revealing of the Man of SIN with the apo-hystamie (apostasy) in 2nd Thessalonians 2..........In my view....what is taught in most churches today has led to a plethora of people NOT prepared for what is coming.....JESUS was clear...if he does not come when he does...NO flesh will be left alive, but for the sake of the elect and SOME being alive and remaining unto the body presence of our LORD he does step in early.......BUT not before the GT............many will think they have missed it......bad deal!
