You see that is where you are wrong. I don't have to do it perfect BECAUSE He did. He SET ME FREE. I CAN DO THE WILL OF GOD, EASY, HE MADE IT SO EASY FOR ME. HE MADE IT SO EASY FOR YOU. We just need to do the Will of God.

Jesus commands that you're not to labor for anything of this world that does not lead to eternal life that would include selling your time for money.
Wow. I didn't actually say all that but I would have if we had had a longer conversation.
I consider that there was a lot of work that had to be done in order to come to Christ. And more work while Christ was stripping away the things (idols) that we thought mattered but didn't.
But looking back we were led to those things. We didn't study and figure it all out and then do it.
We were shown. Then we did. Then we studied and found out it was in there all along... And there was a LOT of studying afterward and prayer trying to figure out what had ALREADY happened.
Not that the studying and prayer would have really changed anything. But it helped with the understanding and with explaining to others. Somewhat...

There is no working at the law just for fun.
Either you are working at it or Christ has set you free and you no longer work at it. There's not really any in-between.

I totally get what you are trying to do.
Its pretty much what the Pharisees before you did. They took the word of God and they watered it down to where it seemed like they could keep it in their own understanding and their own strength.
The Lord didn't like that very much, if you recall.
He specifically said to be Perfect LIKE your Father in Heaven is Perfect.
How does the word Perfect there need a further definition than the one the Lord Jesus gave unless that is exactly what you are trying to do?

I do understand you do not want to do the will of God, I wish you would understand that I do. If only you would quit working at the law, then no one would be.

How is it you don't yet understand that righteousness is not by the law?
How is it you don't know that doing the will of God IS RIGHTEOUSNESS?
IT ISN'T THAT I DON'T KNOW IT IS THAT YOU CANT HEAR ME. you are the only one working at the law. I never have. You keep saying it, That doesn't make it true. Even if you say it another 10000 times it will be no more true then then it is now.
