The book of Job cannot be scripture for death reigned from Adam to Moses.

Matthew 17:4 4Peter said to Jesus, "LORD, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters-one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah."

Abraham is our father, what about him?
This might be difficult for you, but are you willing to trust the apostolic word of God by Paul?

Despite the fact that Abraham was a prophet (Gen 20:7) and being justified by faith, no eternal life was promised to him.

Death reigned from Adam to Moses (Rom 5:14)

Despite the fact that Abraham was a prophet (Gen 20:7) and being justified by faith, no eternal life was promised to him.

Death reigned from Adam to Moses (Rom 5:14)
Heb 11:
8By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 9By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 11And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she b considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

13All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

17By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” c 19Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.
.....
39These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, 40since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven (Jn 3:13).

You are a heretic! Enoch and Elijah were taken. Not risen.
Is it normal to abuse a person on this site, who upholds the binding apostolic word of John?

For dust you are and to dust you shall return (Ge 3:19).

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day
(Jn 6:44).

You are refuted ..... REPENT

That is absurd for the apostle John first prophesied about the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:10).

There was no city which was build by God in Abraham's time.

Did you TEST ALL THINGS (1 Thes 5:21), including the author of Hebrews?

Matthew 17:4 4Peter said to Jesus, "LORD, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters-one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah."
And as they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them saying, “Tell no one the VISION until the Son of Man is raised from the dead.” (Mt 17:9).

Not only did you deny the apostolic word of God by John, but you failed to read Matthew with understanding.

When will you repent of calling me a heretic?

Either the Bible is the inspired word of God from cover to cover or it isn't. I expect to die or get raptured and I stand on the whole word of God. Not cherry picked.

New International Version 2 Timothy 3:16
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness..."

The author of Hebrews did not say God built a city in Abraham's time, he only says Abraham looked forward for God's promise which will be fulfilled later in God's people.

You have been refuted, whether you understand or not.

You cannot even name the scriptural principles, which should have been used in the compilation of your canon, but were not.

Abraham believed Gods promises and it was counted as righteousness.

2 Tim 3:16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.

Does Job teach us anything?
It teaches that God uses human beings in His eternal plan to overcome the rebellion of satan against God.. Job in a way represents the entire human race.. I believe God created the universe and everything in it as a stage where the claim of satan to Godhood would be put to the test...

As job faced tribulation from satan.. So shall we face tribulation to varying degrees from satan.. If we keep having faith in God no matter how bad things get in our lives then we shall take part in the Victory over satan and death..

Interesting thought.

I’ve read that generationally. Job would
have been alive within living memory of the flood. Not necessarily Job himself but his great or great great grand parents maybe That there would certainly have been very real evidence of the flood.

That being the case people mostly would still have had a healthy fear of God and listened for Gods voice. Wouldn’t you! Lol

Maybe that’s why the friends all debated and discussed matters so deeply and also why God spoke with them in the way He did ie all those verses at the end about creation, floods, stars etc.

🙂

Abraham wasn't promised a city which God had built. Prove me wrong by quoting that verse?
Genesis 17:7
I will establish My covenant as an everlasting covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.

Job in a way represents the entire human race..
There was no covenant which offered eternal life in that time. Death reigned from Adam to Moses, (Rom 5:14).

Therefore, Job didn't represent God's covenant with the Israelites or the justification by grace through faith, which is presently offered to us.

You were wrong.
