Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

Somehow I missed this post!!!

I have to laugh at your comment regarding the response from the others! I can so relate. That is how I looked when they said to be careful when referring to the OT. My mouth dropped open and I almost verbally said "WHAT?" LOL So I can relate to the look you have received.

I have been following a teaching on The Book Of Revelation. It was said during the teaching to fully understand this book you need to understand the prophets of the OT. How profound and something I have never thought of before. As i continued and an hour later we were only on Chapter 1 vs. 7 I understand how much more there is to know!! How refreshing it is to start to make sense of things you could never fully understand. There is a reason for that - it is meant to all go together.

I was just telling my daughter about the actual name of God (YHWH) and Jesus (Yeshua) last night!! I will stop as I believe I am jumping trains as to the OP but I do feel like you and I are on the same kind of journey. Love this!

I think this video is for you too. Just found it during a study. But seriously, tell me if this isn't an amazing bit of timing!

You are exactly right about some pastors being too afraid of offending members vs preaching the truth. That is what started my journey for the full truth. As I was just discussing with my father, not all sermons should be feel good sermons, toes need to be stepped on every once in awhile. I grew tired of "everything is going to be ok" type of messages.

I want rock solid truth of the gospel and while I have heard it many times, I want to go deeper with God and not just take things at face value. It has not been comfortable, challenging my foundation, the ministries I followed for years being exposed, but I want the truth. There has to be a balance between spirit and truth.
I hope you stay with us! We need people like you! When both sides are seeking the truth, debates are very productive.

Still one, but it says there are two. I think you will find this video a new window. I have been glued to it!
I don't know why it isn't showing up for you. I enjoy this because of the deep study of Hebrew and the OT.

Said re: Monte Judah (apparently who is in the video ^ , above): "he gained popularity in the 1990s via the HebRoots Movement (Torah observant believers) and [...<snip>...]. He calls pre-trib teachers "false prophets" of the final days who mislead the elect. He states that just teaching the pre-trib rapture position is enough compelling evidence to indict someone as a false prophet. Apparently the fact that he has made numerous false prophecies himself matters not. He claimed that 1993 was the beginning of the tribulation period, that the abomination of desolation would be set up in 1997, and that Prince Charles of Wales was the Antichrist. […]"

As I see it, one would be much better off (and closer to biblical accuracy) if they would check out the writings of Arnold J Fruchtenbaum, a Jewish believer (though there are a few places where I disagree with his take)... At least he does grasp the distinction between "Israel" and "the Church which is His body"...

Again, a quote by CH Mackintosh:

"[...] yet not a syllable about the real position of the Church--its calling, its standing, its hopes, its privileges!

"And not a word about Israel's future! A complete ignoring, or at best a thorough alienation, of the promises made to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and David! The whole body of prophetic teaching subjected to a system of spiritualizing, falsely so called, whereby Israel is robbed of its proper portion [...]"

[end quoting; bold and underline mine]

I have read how he admitted he was incorrect about some of the things stated in the past as I did search regarding false prophet as I do for anyone I listen to. I am using his teachings to learn more concerning Hebrew and OT.
I have enjoyed his teachings in reference to explaining things in the NT relating to how things were done in the OT. It is up to each person how they receive the end times. It was not posted as the final truth regarding end times.
I hear his main focus is in Israel so I am not sure how to dispute or even respond to the quotes. I only know what I am listening to and while it is new to me - if nothing else it is teaching so many things regarding the OT.
There has always been a division amongst pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib believers. I am simply listening to a new perspective while at the same time using the Holy Spirit to discern.

^ Well, believe me when I say that (here, in my older years :D [as a Christian/believer]), I read widely, from all of the viewpoints (and even learn at least some small thing from each). However, I would not have recommended doing so, to my younger self (being a young Christian / new believer), because at that time I did not have enough "discernment" under my belt, yet. (lots of confusion results, as I see it!)

I can relate to that!! I am 42 years old and I was not open to anything other than pre-trib until just a few days ago. I want to hear different perspectives on things that are a mystery as I believe Revelation falls under.
I was concerned about posting the video but I am pulling things out of it that helps explain so many things that are not even really a end time belief. For example, a bond servant, the phrase "thief in the night" the origins being from the OT.
So this has allowed me to learn how to understand the OT in a much deeper way.
Again, I am not saying that he is the final authority on the End Times.
When I was a young Christian I would not have even been open to anything other than what I believed. lol

Really? When I was a young Christian, all I wanted to know was the "Truth" (whatever that was and wherever it led). I still do, but you know what I mean (referring to those years being a young/new believer).

I am speaking of growing up in church and being taught a certain way. So, no as a teenager I was only going to believe what the church I was in taught. It took me 20 years to come into the truth. I was raised in a dead church and at the age of 30 I came into a full gospel church and oh was I uncomfortable as it went against so many things I was raised with. Within a short time I had a huge testimony, so for the last 14 years I have been seeking truth. When I refer to a young believer I am speaking from birth to early teen years.
It all depends on each person how their foundation was built. Of course I was caught the basics growing up but didn't dive into anything deep until much later. I was hard core sticking to my denomination until the Lord showed me who He really is.

^ which [bold] makes perfect sense, if you think about it, because that phrase ^ relates directly to the ARRIVAL of the "EARTHLY time period" which will unfold upon the earth (FOLLOWING our Rapture), that is, the PROPHESIED [OT prophecies] time period slated to play out regarding same! ;) [i.e. OT prophecies concerning "Israel," NOT "the Church which is His body"--that is, it is not a reference to our Rapture (in the air) NOR Jesus' Own Arrival (to the earth), but the ARRIVAL of a particular "earthly-located TIME PERIOD"]

I was just so in love with how most of it referenced back to Isaiah - my favorite book in the bible. Regardless of our beliefs in when we will be taken the main point is to always be ready. Some believe in the rapture - some do not. It really doesn't matter if you are steadfast in being faithful and following God. My dad has always told me your end time could be tomorrow. The end is the end no matter when it comes.
