There’s no easy way out of a drug infested country, our culture spawned it, either accept it and push for more clinics and assistance or this country will drown in drugs.

I heard a debate between two peeps on a news show about this, one was a republican and the other democratic. the dem person said only 5% of fire arm violence are from people who have mental illness. I had to look up how many people have mental illness in the U.S. well it’s staggering only 50% of all mental illnesses are diagnosed and or are being treated. that means that 5% is a bogus number because 50% of all mental health issues are not reported/diagnosed. yet we need more gun control I don’t get it.
I believe that mental illness figures are far higher but most mentally ill people hav the tendency to turn their hostility inward because they blame themselves or others they know for their mental dilemma's.

Only 50% are diagnosed?
How do they know that?
It seems that some want to say we all have mental health issues. Everyone but themselves.

Man if drugs where set legal though prescribed through clinics for users, there would be a lot of angry drug gangs and cartels out there, they would probably start fighting the government to stop the legalization of it.

The best way to stop the drug problem is to execute those selling drugs.
Treat these people for who they are. They are killing people.

Well I’ve met a few wackos in my time, I my opnion the inward hostilities even with people that have mild depression sooner or later it’s a pack of dynamite waiting to explode may take 2 or 10 or 20 years but without help they are a powder cake.

Yes maybe they should legalize it, then get the heroine addicted people in clinics to supply them and monitor them and ween them off it. I think they got a program like that overseas in some country and they don’t have gang wars or drug cartels pushing drugs across their borders or in the streets.
Perdue Pharma the kind folks  that brought us Oxycontin and told doctors it isn't addictive also have an antidote that block Opium receptors in the brain.

I put a laugh icon on it, sounds logic but you know that won’t happen, people’s pockets are being lined to look the other way.

But that's where I'm going with this start at the root. South of the Border. Isolationism would be suicide. If we want to settle the war on drugs go to the source.

Huh I wonder what else that opium blockers block. just give the man a cap then next month 3/4 cap until his down to 1/8 cap in a few months, though that might not work either but it’s better than throwing billions to a drug war that is not working. but that war keeps people employed and pockets lined so that wouldn’t happen either a end to drug wars.

Those lining their pockets should also be executed.
It is time to stop cuddling these people.

I understand CBD oil works also. It's non intoxicating and domestically produced. Can that be why big pharma opposes it and spends 2.5 billion $ a year on lobbyists?

Include those who take the money and I'll get on board. In the old testament it's called cleaning the camp.

I can’t see big pharma shooting themselves in the foot. if there’s a product that can keep kids from having seizures and it’s pretty cheap I don’t think they would prize it. they like those one time 600 dollar pin shots

Well, that will never happen.
So, if we eliminate their employees, those on the street selling their death, they will have no one to ship their drugs to.

@7seasrekeyed My point is not to forget what our neighbors and ancestors went through to get here. What the Hebrews went through in Egypt and Babylon and how valuable freedom really is. We shouldn't act like Daffy Duck after finding a treasure and saying "Mine, mine, mine all mine" as if God can't take it away. To me guns aren't the . It's extremist thinking. Contraband always becomes more valuable, sought after and collectable and if we outlaw guns only outlaws will have them. It's a lose-lose idea altogether. I'm siding with @Susanna ,Thanks for sharing.
I have a history also

my ancestors have a history

some of the history is painful

none of it has anything to do with the next election and certainly nothing to do as to why illegal aliens should flood into the country

and daffy duck has even less

the next election is not a philosophy question and Susanna is not running for President

Most businesses push some kind of BS in one way or another, look at alcohol it is quite damaging it effects every organ in the body even hair and nails yet the TV, billboards, sporting events etc. is strung with ads it’s cool to drink is the culture. thus probably leads to other things the snowball effect.
