Remember , Jesus said "my sheep hear/know my voice"
Hold that truth up to heaven.
Say "thank you Lord that ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD, which is truth,i hear you and know you. Speak to me and cast down every lying spirit"
Remember,it is written "let my word be confirmed in 2 or 3 witnesses"
If God is leading you,and talking to you,you WILL recieve confirmation.
I have gotten "prophetic words" in church that were not God at all. They must have just thought that about me or something.

What is the fruit of your visions?
What is it producing?
Mine produce tremendous joy and peace.
Only a few times i knew i was recieving rebuke and correction. But i knew it. Even his discipline is awesome.
Invoke the blood against all future visions/dreams.

I have a few simple principles..
If the fruit is encouraging and loving, Amen.
If the concept is reflected in scripture, Amen.
Our minds creates many sensations and feelings for its own reasons, and the purpose is often unseen.
The enemy has no hold over us, and can only influence us if we let him.
Some groups encourage us to believe we are in a massive battle, when actually all bow before the King of Kings,
and we seek to know and follow His will alone. Those who are influenced by evil, have issues in the communion
with God and walking in His ways, because this is not something we should expect in walking in the Spirit.
Some visions like one David Wilkerson had in the 1970's wrote of visions of destruction and doom, except
50 years on these have not come to pass.
And the trouble is our imaginations can run away with us, and we can see many things that are not true.
In the right state we can hear voices, and believe everything circles around us, except these are delusions.
So my advice is unless you have a gifting, praise the Lord and thank Him for all the encouragement He gives
you, Amen.

I feel you on that. I too sometimes let my mind/spirit run away with scripture. Ezekiel 13:3 is the only verse where the Lord seems to speak on this. I actually felt a strong sense of conviction out of nowhere (seemingly) about that. It was like a light clicked on.
Where I'll think about a spiritual concept and I know I could "sell it" to others and it is a observation of "interest" but it isn't the Lord, it's just me.
I usually preface by I think for that reason as well as vague give or take words when I'm not sure. Always open to something being challenged.
Then again there are times where it's like "it rings" true and it sits all over me the interpretation, which I believe to be the Lord's spirit, as well as a general consensus that I have no disagreement with even when I use my "doubt gauge" or "Skepto-mometer"
There's a verse in the NT that talks about private interpretation of prophecy and I wonder about that. There is plenty that is not said in scripture and plenty of mysteries. It stands to reason that one could be shown these things but as a "just for you" kind of thing.
Of course, that should necessarily be met with caution as it's not just "human & creator" at work in the world.
I do stand on the fact that what NEEDS to be said has been revealed though just to throw that out there. Extra curricular stuff is a personal choice. Like someone that makes Noah's ark a life study.

Do you know of this "Eye of Providence" ? Have a read up on it on wikipedia. You know that pyramid with the all seeing eye on top of it. Can be other names for what you are describing, like the third eye.

Numbers 12:6-9 is a great passage for me personally so it may be of some assistance to you. You can read back and after a tad to see what the context is...
I would spend some time in the Books of the Prophets as, while meaty, it may help you to understand that discernment is critical.
Yes the Lord is clear about certain things pertaining to that gifting when used by the enemy, but bear in mind what Jesus said about not worrying. Cast your burdens on him. Lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he WILL direct your paths. That's a promise
I will only end and say that if that is your gifting it seems the enemy is trying to confuse you into believing it's from him (the gifting itself and not the dreams specifically) as a way to condemn you and based off this attack I would assert the opposite.
@7seasrekeyed I can't PM other than to post on my profile but I am interested in this topic also as it affects me as well. It is not a common thing in any church I have been to so I would appreciate your input sincerely. I'm not a cessationist but I am skeptical...sometimes to my detriment and then accusations typically manifest.

I would disagree
God can most certainly clarify something in a dream that does not require others to examine it and verify it as being from God
for example, we have Joseph who was more than once visited in a dream and received directions
he was told to go ahead and take Mary as his wife in one and in another was told to go to Egypt for safety
we have to be careful how we handle our personal understanding when we put it out there as though it was for everyone
this subject is misunderstood enough without creating a template that actually is not biblical
I don't mean to argue with you at all, but what you say may apply to say a congregational type setting in which everyone is involved and looking for direction but on a personal basis not always

Hi Danja. I would offer. Everyone dreams every day.. it is like breathing daily maintenance. God as one of the manners did bring prophecy through a dream to advance the gospel . But God I no longer bringing any new interpretations after any manner. . We have his whole revelation as a perfect law.
Remember the counterfeiter. . the father of lies can use anything to speak to you . He accuses us day and night (dream time) before the lord . His goal a murderer from the beginning .
God is still healing us through dreams which I think is the purpose. It one way it keeps us from killing each other .Not that I have any desire. Its a comforting miracle that we even can dream, his design. He also bring to our mind the things he has taught us as well as our remembrance of each other .
It was a while back when the; "and" bring all things to your remembrance jumped off the page as part of his comforting work in us.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Philippians 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
No God ......no remerberance .
Known God ...….know remembrance. The gift that keeps on giving
There are plenty of books out there with different ideas. Dream interpretation ideology is on the increase. I would think dreams are private interpretations. A person would search the scriptures as counselors or find a counselor to help .But they can never be a source of faith . We walk by the exclusive faith that comes from it as it is written , Not through dreams, or vision or a voice . They would provide a false source of faith .
Some say after 72 hours of no dream sleep it brings challenges to our fleshly mind on a down ward slope .
Out of body experiences or dreams are on the increase . The technology age. . the new age smart phone age.
Makes me wonder as in Luke 18 when he does come will he find the exclusive faith that is generated by the word of God.(sola scriptura) or will men be trusting in personal experiences and call them inspired by God as some sort of sign gift. Making experience of the heart the witness rather that the word of God alone.
Gods word is sufficient in doing any work. Warning us, encouraging giving us the interpretation skills .Finding friends.
The father of lies knowing God is no longer adding to His living abiding word as the one source of faith by which we can believe God . uses that as opportunity to get his foot in the door. . And the word of God can loose its place.
Dreams, vision or voices can give the illusion God is still adding to His already perfect law But along with the illusion God sends a strong delusion . Three times the father of lies did his best to bring those kind of illusion or what some would call out of their body experience .Turning out that lying spirit of that fallen angel bring in their lies that desire to make the word of God without effect. Can't serve two source of faith .
The flesh seems hungry for what some would call sign gifts (wonderment). Jesus having not eaten in 40 days ate the food of His Father, three times the father put the words on the mouth of Jesus as it is written to establish the one source of faith be which we could believe. One media by which he can trust the faith that guards us the whole Armor of God.
We must be careful on how we hear and remember? If we heard his voice involuntarily the first time and it turned us to beleive. . it can continue to work in us to help us understand to the end . There are many on this board that can help us remember the words of our father.

All sound logical, reasonable and have scripture to back them up. It makes it all the more confusing. I didn't want the devil to be messing with my mind nor give him any open door into my life and at the same time I didn't want to put God in a box refusing to believe that he is communicating with me.
I think in the end I am learning to commit it to the Lord and somehow he has the ability to let you know what is from him. I don't know how he does it nor can I put it into words it is just something that he privately does within you. So my advice is to ask him and not others, it will just confuse you. You will be torn between people warning it is the devil and others who will encourage you it is from God. Let Him show you.
On GG's thread today Shittim posted a video #165 about someone's dream. Might be worth a watch.
