Yes, it turned out to be true. Many of them saw Him in His glorified body after the crucifixion and the resurrection for days. He had done His job

Hebrews 10:8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
Hebrews 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Hebrews 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Hebrews 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Hebrews 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Hebrews 10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Hebrews 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Hebrews 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Hebrews 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Hebrews 10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins

He had defeated death. He had ended an age. O Death where is thy sting? Yes we know God the Father knew more.. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Is that what you were referring to?
The passage in context was about his 2nd coming. Check out the verse before in Matt 16

I am not seeing that. His second coming is with a rod of iron, a day of vengeance and as king of Kings for the Lords Day.

Regarding the High priests and the bells...While the Holy of Holies represented the very place that God dwelt among His chosen people, in the period just preceeding the Babyloninan invasion, defiling and eventual exile of Judah from Jerusalem, the actual presence of the Glory of God ceased dwell in the temple. Wasn't it Jeremiah who removed and Hid the Arc of the Covenant? So the bells were more necessary when the presence of God was physically there rather than symbolic as it was after that point in time.

Obviously Jesus did not judge the Jews immediately after he was resurrected correct?

So how can that passage be about that when the kingdom was always about the physical kingdom in Jerusalem?

But once Jesus come for the 2nd time, he will touch down on the mount of olives

About the bells on the priest so they knew if he was alive or dead when he went in to talk to God.

No, that's correct, gold bells sewn between the pomegranets on the High Priests Robe of Service. I just mentioned that after the Glory of God left the temple the threat to the High Priest was not as imminent. Sorry for any confusion. :)

So you believe as do the Jews of that moment? That Jesus through God sinned. That healing and doing good deeds on the Sabbath is a sin?

If one has Christ, the word, God's Law, in their heart, mind and mouth. If they are the new man in Christ. All things new and of God. If we are Love because HE is Love and it is He that works in us both to will and do His Good pleasure. Our behavior is no longer of the letter but of the heart. A new ministration. No longer from ink and Tables of Stone but of the fleshly tables of the heart through God's Spirit. A new creature created in Christ Jesus. We who have been Baptized, have put on Christ. We are dead nevertheless we live, yet not us but Christ liveth in us and the life we now live in the flesh we live by the Faith of Son of GOD, Christ, It is He that works in us both to will and do His good pleasure. THE NEW MINISTRATION! Christ in us the hope of Glory.
Have i really communicated so poorly that you believe i am accusing God of sin?
The verses i quoted he's responding to are Matthew 12, which isn't an accusation against Jesus in the first place, but His disciples, and has nothing to do with healing or good works, but harvesting grain.

And all i did was talk about how Jesus replied, ask questions about why He did, and remark how profound it is.

For this LB thinks i blaspheme.

Actually this is what you posted, verbatim.
John 5:16-17
For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath. But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I have been working."
So I ask again, "So you believe as do the Jews of that moment? That Jesus through God sinned. That healing and doing good deeds on the Sabbath is a sin?"

Hi DeighAnn! I love Hebrews. Quick question if I may. According to the context what is, "the knowledge of the truth" the Holy Spirit is referring to in these passages?

The earthly Jesus said: "Be perfect for your heavenly father is perfect". Humans cannot attain perfection, not even with God's help.

The risen Jesus said (through the author of Hebrews): "Without holiness no one will see God" (will not be saved). Humans can attain holiness with God's help.
Perfection. Do you realize what that encompasses?

Take a cup of pure water. Perfect spring water with no defects. Then add one drop of urine into that cup. How perfect is that cup? Would you drink it? Would you offer it to God? Thats pretty much what you are doing, except even worse. Because you have WAY MORE than one drop of urin in your cup. THink of all your sins since birth, and that is how much urine you have added to your cup. And you plan on going to Jesus and offering hi that cup?

Yes, Holiness, We are holy because he is. Just like the blood covered the sins in the OT temple sacrifice. Christ blood covers our sin when we will meet him face to face. (You can say he takes oour cup of water and purifies it) Otherwise. That cup of urine filled water will be left on his own on judgment day.

I thought so according to google, but I only skimmed the article I found. Went and reread, it's a quote from a book by Eusebius.

It's still contradictory, tho - only the high priest entered the Holy of Holies, once a year, and we know who the high priest was, Caiphas, and the high priest was always Levite, which James wasn't.
Amen, according to law anyone else would have died upon entrance

But it just goes to show, the presence of God had left the holy of holy long ago.

Why? If they would take the time to go back through this thread and others since the time you have been here they would see you have said a lot worse.
Go ahead, and show examples.

Show where I time and time again refuse to answer questions

Show where I time and time again beat around the bush, and as someone else said, take a polita=ical aprroach to tryign to answer questions.

Show where I in defence of my position, when confronted with trying to prove an accusation I made, I attacked, Belittled and called people names instead of just answering the question and proviing my accusation.

I will be waiting.

And if you want to continue, I will report you also. I am sick of christian who profess to be holy and preach and judge being the worse liars and slanderers there are. They give god a bad name, they give his people a bad name, and they give Christian Chat a bad name!

I don't think the Bible says what happened to the ark, does it?

I'm not a law-keeper, but I still haven't found a single piece of evidence -- in the Gospels -- that Jesus ever told us to stop keeping the Law. Should we rely solely on what Paul said?
Good question, I might have an answer
The law was introduced because of the hardened hearts of Israelites, (Jesus teaching on divorce Mark 10:2-5. Hebrews chapter 3:1 the Bible recognizes Jesus as the high priest. Hebrews 8:7 for if the first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second.
Christianity is not justified by law, Abraham gave melkizedek a tenth of his spoils after conquering the kings of Sodom, even though there was no law telling him to give 10%. It was custom that during Sabbath observance, one was to work for 6 years and in the seventh year nobody was to till the land for God would multiply their crops twice, the crops were for the birds. But then he saw that even though people did not work on that year, they coveted what was in the fields so upholding the 4th commandment but breaking the 10th.
The Law was made for sinners, Romans 7:7-12
2nd Tim:3:16 all scripture is breathed from God and I know that Jesus is God John 1:14 and even though it was Paul who wrote that letter the words were from Jesus not Paul. Paul admitted that it was not he who lives but Jesus, therefore whatever Paul said concerning the law and faith comes from Jesus Christ himself, be blessed
