if we think once saved always saved then this kind of doctrine will lead to many people taking the mark of the beast thinking they will will make it to heaven .And they will lose their salvation taking the mark
False.....the bible is clear....ONLY those that will not receive the love of the truth will take it....I suggest open the bible and start studying

Sorry the word "make it "sounded confusing .It basically meant people who will take the mark will lose their salvation .
This bible says in Matthew 10 :33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

Of course I will not take the mark of the beast and I don't have a revelation about when the rapture will happen .Either way i believe God protects me of all sorts of evil and if i have to i will go through tribulation ,maybe even die for Christ
NO saved child of God will take the mark......what you are saying is false

I will add that I have not seen evidence that most people believe we can continue sinning and living as people do without Christ

I don't understand why things like that are even inserted into the conversation on salvation when that is so

why do people have to continually try to somehow SUBVERT what people say?

for that matter, that subversion goes to both sides
It is a two edged sword.
He requires holiness, but apart from Him we have no holiness.
We fail and get back up.

It says are sins are cast into the sea of forgetfulness.

Sin should break our heart.
His patience seems limitless. We still have a role.

Sin is like poop in a brownie.
"But its just a tiny bit of poop. You wont even taste it"
None of us is righteous. We desperately need Jesus.

Sexual immorality is an important subject.

The key issue is feeding desire or feeding love and care.
Innate within us is always sexual desire, because of our hormones. We came into life because of our
parents desire, and families and marriages are founded on pair bonding to create families.

Years ago some expressed the view to me to emphasise family was wrong, because desire was about
personal fulfilment as well.

The problem is sexuality is always with us, but our love in Christ can rise above, dealing with others
as brothers and sisters in Christ, irrespective of desire.

Some believers think intimacy is only sexual, when actually intimacy is about real love and care for
another. Our culture has focused too much on the physical and not enough on the personal and
commitment, being friends despite attraction and desire. So many relationships go wrong when desire
is the only reason for being together, rather than the beginning of something healthy and beautiful.

It is apparent here on these threads there are many divorced and separated people, carrying much pain
and hurt, and the emotions that go with this, are a mess. Paul encouragement was simple,

3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people.
4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.
Eph 5

1 Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers,
2 older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.
1 Tim 5

We are a family, in a real sense, with commitment and care, as well as boundaries and the ability to
get involved and also withdraw as appropriate.

I should have said "none of righteous apart from HIS righteousness"

agree

I have seen over and over where people talk PAST each other

not listening nor even bothering to consider what the other is saying

this ties into people accusing the OSAS crowd of ignoring scripture and causes the other side to be accused of adding WORKS and creating an equation for salvation rather than the simple thing it is...for us

having said that, there is NOTHING simple about actually following Christ

hence the everlasting, while time tick tocks on, impossible to reach conclusions

Paul calls salvation the firm foundation. a foundation laid by God Himself can hardly be improved upon but the building upon it that each of us constructs in our walk with Christ is certainly a beneficial discussion that rarely gets off the ground here

too many will call that walk works, because they are fearful some see it as a discussion about salvation etc

Sexual immorality is likened to Spiritual immorality. God hates both. OT refers to Israel playing the whore with the religions of the nations round about them and they received judgment as a result. Judgment including being carried away into captivity.

Those who engage in sexual immorality will be taken captive by their sins and not achieve any level of Spiritual significance. They will not grow in the truth and grace of God.

We are a family, in a real sense, with commitment and care, as well as boundaries and the ability to
get involved and also withdraw as appropriate.

it is apparent when reading the posts of divorced people or people suffering with their spouse having an affair etc etc, that most have joined to ask for help

sadly and all too often what they get are personal opinions and very little actual help

when it comes to divorce the Bible as a whole should be taken into consideration and not a one shot deliverance that any one person subscribes to the cure for it

yes we are supposed to be a family but it is my impression that some of the kids are bullies and or full of themselves and their answers to people in pain will reflect such

is divorce sexual sin? I don't think so. however it would be sin that leads up to it

nevertheless, there are provisions made for divorce

God Himself divorced Israel

when it comes to Paul, he also said it was better not to marry

do we, 2000 years removed from that statement, follow it?

not really

for that matter he also said it was better to marry then to burn

apparently God created us as sexuals beings and trying to stomp that into the ground does not work...ask the Catholic church how that works

to be sure, we should not follow or feed our sinful nature

Which is more powerful, the sin of sexual immorality or the saving grace of Jesus Christ? Actually that’s a rhetorical question.

A true counselor makes sure shame is removed and cast down.
Shame is a subjective reaction when we sin. A healthy person feels shame when they sin.
One who has hardened their heart to sin feels no shame.
Modern counselling attempts to remove shame through psychological means, whereas a true counselor will explain how our guilt standing before God has been removed at Calvary and how shame can be removed after we sin, through repentance and confession of our sin by the blood of Jesus Christ..

Sexual sin carries shame.
Deliverance, washing in the blood, forgiveness brings freedom and joy.
Shame reappears through different doors. Counceling and training show people how to cast off shame. Cast it down. Refuse it.

I say this because i have seen awesome men/women of God deal with it in counsel/ministry and to see them free of shame is a beautiful thing.
Amen

Fornication,adultery, beastality, homosexuality, lust, coveting another's mate,self pleasure, ect.ect.?💖💖💖
Yes, plus pornography. But it's really about lust in the heart which one can only examine ones self.
Jesus said to look on a someone and lust is equal to acting. Because it's about what we cultivate in our hearts.
And then there is a scripture that says give no occasion to gratify the flesh.

If you are not in a church that teaches this find a new church.

How to counsel someone in confidence and love! Not to drive a wedge between their heart and God!💖💖💖
Not my job. My job is to in love and in self reflection speak correction. The Holy spirit does the other things.
The problem with the truth is that when some people come to it about their pet sin they would rather not so they turn away. Jesus said lots of things about this.

remember the wedge is already established by the sin they are bound too. Unless repentance God does not hear them or those who are in Habitual sin. Jesus said in Luke 4:1819 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Jesus came to tell the Truth HE is the Truth, HE is the Way and HE is the Eternal Life Zoey. No other way. Holy means set a part from the world.

yes (y)

holy means to be set apart. it does not mean sinless perfection
