See I don't think we "have" to repent and ask forgiveness, I think we "will", but only because He has changed our hearts and we are now ABLE to want this. This is also why He gets all glory and credit when we do repent and fall at His feet, not in fear, but because it honestly hurts now when I know I've sinned and fallen short. Before I could justify everything and forget about it as soon as I thought of something else, but not not. Now I WANT to obey, but again only by His power, and believe He will lose NONE that the Father has given Him, so I do agree with DC as far as knowing I can not lose salvation, and don't want to. I honestly believe the truth lies in the middle, "both and", not "either or".
If I am correctly understand, you believe every time we sin, we will ask forgiveness?
What is the different between we have to and we will?
Both of them are ask forgiveness isn't it?

Seem to me you believe we automatically ask forgiveness because Jesus in us will make us ask forgiveness when we do sin.
I understand your logic but I do not think we lose our freedom when we accept Him.
Yes we volunteerly submit our freedom when we accept Him, but I believe we still have a chance to do our free will
For example, after we accept Him we still capable of doing sin.
Go do allready change our heart but why I still capable doing sin?
God in us not teach us doing sin but our free will did.
So I believe we still have a free will after accepting Him. Still have a choice, to do sin or to do His will.
That why I believe we may lose our salvation, yes Jesus will remind us to do His will but if we walk away not His false.
Can you imagine in the last judgement when Jesus say depart from me because you not accept me
And this people reply: not my false, I not accept you because the Father not chose me.
About the verse you talking about, I believe you talking about
John 6:37 King James Version (KJV)
37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
To me this verse simply mean Jesus welcome all that come to ZHim
And I believe a Father not randomly give to the Son, bible say there is criterial to be chose by Father
John 3:16
Whosoever believe will be save
So I believe Father give whosoever believe to the Son
