Welcome to cc Eli and Blessings!A person can't loose what that person doesn't have. Nobody is been saved YET ... Salvation will come at the moment of the judgement. A lot of people who have the name of Christ all the time on their mouth, will get something very different of what they thought they would (Mat 7:21-23)
Mat 24:13 (ESV) But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
Thanks LeastAmongMany.Welcome to cc Eli and Blessings!![]()
The point is I'd never read on the Scriptures about any disciple of Jesus saying that he was already saved. Paul, the inspired writer of more that the half of the NT, was fighting hard for his own salvation all the time. How is that, that so many people today think they are already saved? Have done they more than Paul in his whole life?
Thanks for the detail, TDW ... Did you notice that here:
Mat 24:13 (ESV) But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
Jesus uses "will be saved" in future tense?
The context of Jesus' words is clear to me ... I think is clear for anyone. Do I need to go somewhere else to understand a passage that is completely understandable?
I don't think Jesus was talking about salvation of the physical body ... He was talking about the last day. The only way we can understand salvation is at the moment of the judgement. Why is it that there are so many people who believe that salvation is something they can grasp as if it were an object? People can be saved, and after been saved of whatever they were saved, not be saved about something else.He was not referring to eternal life, he was referring to the physical body being saved... read it in context.
That part is called the mind and what happens in the mind is understanding only.IMO the Spirit Is the part that you cannot be In touch with with any part of our five senses.A person can discern themselves with their body and soul but they cannot touch their spirit with anything carnal I mean of the flesh.
Not sure what you mean.
Do you mean not faith alone to receive salvation or do you mean not faith alone when we are presenting our bodies a living sacrifice renewing our minds because I believe It Is faith alone through Grace alone to receive salvation but presenting our bodies a living sacrifice (renewing our minds) very well could require physical action?
Apart from Christ we can do nothing. Producing fruit is not automatic, but itβs also not forced or legalistic for those who are born of God.
