I'm deeply impressed by their qualities. I just posted another video in the Music Forum.

Went and watched it! I appreciate your apprecaition...I have been blessed by their ministry for a long time and they cease to amaze me! By the way you list of favorites from the album match mine, then I add another and another and it's the whole album again!
Sometimes they sound like an orchestra. It was around 1995 when I first heard an a cappella group. Then during a season, when I was out of work, my wife and I joined a choir, but six months later I got rehired and had to leave it.
I love a cappella singing because we can do it anywhere without instruments.
Portability! Imagine the efforts to move instruments, equipment support structures etc but an a cappella ensamble can relocate between each song!
I think it is wonderful that you and your wife enjoy such a rewarding effort! What kind of choir were you singing with?
My dad sings everywhere we go. He's 91 and when we go to a baseball game here in the US he belts out the National Anthem! Always gets heads turning.![]()
Yes, portability is the great advantage of a cappella singing.
My wife joined the choir just to please me, she doesn't really love it. Now we have Christian friends who love part singing and thank God I can still sing, despite my age. Eighteen years ago (when I was 50) I wanted to take singing lessons, but the teacher turned me down because I was too old.
It's amazing that your dad still sings at age 91. Well, I have to leave now and will be back around 10:00 pm São Paulo time.
Glad -- Just As I Am
I just found this video containing a song that I first heard (and loved) some 20 years ago, with the exact same arrangement and harmony. That means I first heard this amazing vocal group a long time ago without knowing that they were called Glad. Most people will say this song sounds sad, but I really love it.
Thank You, I looked up the lyrics. Many songs are faithful testimonies of Gods love and faithfulness to those who heed the call. That makes it beautiful! Glad singing it makes it incredibly beautiful! But I am sure if we were to hear that song from the writer who testified of God, even with a broken voice, yet heart and eyes full of the sentiment within the lyrics we would be moved so very much!
I appreciate finding these gems in my notifications! Thank you again.![]()
Were it not for you I would never have known that the vocal group I loved so much was called Glad and as a result would never be able to google them for more songs. I heard them singing "Just As I Am" on a radio station and got them on tape without knowing what they were called. Thanks again!![]()
