What's that verse about always assuming you are a little lower in statue or something where you should always assume people are a little higher up than you in the way you treat people like. Do you know what I mean?

This verse is one of my favorite. I think this mindset gives God the Glory and keeps us humble, treating others with consideration as though they matter very much. I think a simple everyday example of this is allowing others in front of you in line, or letting the other have the last word. Maybe this is too simple, but it just points to keeping ourselves as servants of and for Christ.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Philippians 2:3

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Romans 12:10

Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility:
for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
1Peter 5:5

Are you referring to the passage about taking a lowlier place at a feast so that you are elevated to a higher place verses being relegated because you were pretentious and chose a seat higher?

If so I finally found that one :p

Luke 14 beginning with verse 7 as the preface and then with 8-14 following with his words.
