Never been a coffee fan to the point of having to have it every day. Once in a while I'll induldge in something if I SERIOUSLY need a morning boost. My hubby wanted a NINJA coffee bar ( fancy coffee maker) which now makes a lovely addition to counter clutter. When we first got it, he was making me all sorts of lovely specialized drinks..... I had SO MUCH ENERGY (even though I was still so exhausted, some night I just couldn't sleep b/c I had way to much during the day) So I try to avoid it as much as possible now. Also while exploring options for my daughters medical issues (border line ADD/ADHD so may have it, or may just still be growing DIFFERENTLY from other children (i.e the way God made her) ...… either way we're not medicating her for it...…. and that's a whole other thread....... but the specialist first words "try this new drug medication" I talked it over with our pediatrician who also agreed in this case it's not a best option...…..)
Anyway getting back onto the coffee topic:
The pediatrician told me that she has older patients (teens ) who don't want to take the ADD/ADHD meds either.... BUT a cup or 2 of good old Joe does the trick for them! (As though they took the meds) but if they don't have their coffee fix...… well same ol dproblems occur
Kinda makes one wonder...….
Be sure you keep your daughter off Ritalin, that they give for ADHD. It makes them [mental] zombies so to speak. I used to foster special needs kids. I had PTSD and nightmares during my early years. At age 12, I started talking about it and slowly healed. I still woke very violent and didn't sleep well. Valium therapy (at bedtime) changed my life for the better. After 5 years, I didn't need it anymore.

We wont put her on ANYTHING. (interestingly within the next 6 months after the "specialist " suggested it, she had a maturity growth spurt and some of those bigger symptoms ceased. I have to many mom friends who jump right into drugging medicating their kids and within a few weeks you see these little ones completely change, often times they are WORSE.
I use to think giving kids coffee was asking for disaster but the pediatrician really has me thinking about it. I mean how often do adults say they cannot focus until they have had their morning coffee?

GOOD MORNING WORLD!!!!
It truly is a beautiful day, despite the weather doing:
unexpectedly.

Psalm 118:24:
This is the day that the Lord has made; WE WILL rejoice and be glad in it.

How's your outlook on life today? It's a choice........
