John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
I have just finished confessing and repenting of my sins. I am aware of my transgressions by the law written upon my heart. I have asked for forgiveness and through the Blood of Christ, and as promised I have been washed clean. Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice upon the Cross that allows me to be cleansed, directly through your works. This gift I cherish and keep in my heart always. My sins are blotted out and are remembered no more. The veil is torn and I know in this very moment God hears my prayers. I am without sin and will strive to stay this way as I proceed towards perfection.
I am a sinner. Though I crucified my flesh driven life descending into the water and rose a new creation in a Spirit led life at my baptism, accepting into my life the Lord Jesus as Son and Savior of God, I know that it was going to be a work on my part to come to perfection.
Just as Jesus did.
Who in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in that He feared
Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered
And being make perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him
He fulfilled all prophecy that was written by the prophets about His coming, He fulfilled all ceremonial law concerning blood sacrifice.
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
I read it as:
Think not that I have come to unyoke the law or the Prophets, I have not come unharness but to make full, give them a living form and fill any that may have been lacking.
James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? James 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, James 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? James 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. James 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. James 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. James 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? James 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? James 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? James 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. James 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. James 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? James 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. James 2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
For anyone I have offended I pray you understand it comes from a place of love of the Living Word and offending I apologize for but not my beliefs.
