It would be nice "if you had mentioned the book and chapter from Josephus"

But the Romans contrived how to prevent that, by blacking the stone: who then could aim at them with success, when the stone was not discerned beforehand, as it had been till then: and so they destroyed many of them at one blow. Yet did not the Jews, under all this distress, permit the Romans to raise their banks in quiet. But they shrewdly and boldly exerted themselves, and repelled them, both by night, and by day.

:giggle:

lol, and then they tried to knock down the wall with it and it wasn't effective so they stopped.

That's besides the point in your attempt to discredit the info provided, the fact is that John stated the stones were a talent, which is precisely what Josephus claimed.

I was using both to show that the symbols used by John had an actual reality rather than as the poster claimed "spiritualize" the scorpions.

It doesn't say the "son cometh"

Accordingly the watchmen that sat upon the towers gave them notice when the engine was let go, and the stone came from it; and cried out aloud, in their own country language, the stone cometh. (16)

lol, you do realize I pointed that out in post #280 right?

Your getting your walls confused. In Wars 5,chapter 6.paragraph 3 the attack was on the "third wall" whys that important to prophecy?

I don't see the relevance to the discussion of the talent mentioned by John and Josephus. Or whether they painted them black pink or green.
Yes a little confusing, I do not see how the colour discredits the account, they changed the colour so it could not be seen as easily, however the connection is very interesting.

Agrippa 1 began the third wall 41-44 ad but stopped it because he was afraid Caesar would see it as an aggression. Now in Wars,5.4.2 the third all was finished right before the revolt(ad66) so the third wall was not standing when Jesus said what he did about the stones of the temple. And if the stones weighing a talent being thrown at the third wall were it's fulfillment then Revelation could not have been written before ad66 when the wall in wars 5,6. was built.

I think your conclusions are somewhat fanciful Walldorf.

John stated he was to measure the temple that was current in his time:

(Rev 11:1 Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. )

How could he be told to measure a temple after it was destroyed?

measure it as in laying a foundation or measure it to measure it's value? Don't forget the outer court were not measured and were given to the gentiles.

How does this equate to John supposedly writing his revelation after 66 AD?

hey your who brought up the stones that weigh a talent being thrown at the wall and so I explained it was the 3rd wall, when it was built ect. it's not my fault you squeezed the date of Revelation closer.

No, you are trying to use the walls of Josephus to cast doubt on both John's revelation and Jesus' statement "not one stone" left standing.

Do you think that the "not one stone" temple of Jesus is a future temple?

And how do you figure that John is measuring a temple other than the one that Jesus said "not one stone" that shall not be thrown down?
