The Book of the Wars of the LORD LORD or Book of the Wars of Yahweh, was a written book that existed during the leadership of Moses over Israel. It is referenced in the Book of Numbers and is used both to explain the Scriptural text and vice versa. While the book is referenced in the Bible, it is not a book of the Bible and there is no evidence that it had the same inspiration from God as the rest of Scripture.

My thought - it was there when He wanted it there and it was gone when He didn't. The Book is perfect, except for the mistakes man makes.

There are more then several mentions of the book of Enoch, as well as the book of Jasher in the O.T.
There are even more books included in a collection called the "apocrypha."
There are even more books/writings by N.T. Disciples, as well as O.T. prophets, and kings as well.

Some are good as "fill in some missing pieces", in support of "the canon."
Some are good "narratives."
Some are good "prophesies." Providing insight.
All of them deemed by a "council of men" (Nicea), to not be included in what we commonly these last days call "The Holy Bible."
Perhaps, these "men", like Paul, decided not to include some writings they deemed "too meaty", for an "average man?"
Hard to say!
Tis my belief, that though it is true that where 2 or 3 are gathered in Jesus' name? He is there as well. Tis also my belief, that while Jesus may be there? He may not necessarily be in agreement with the "goings on."

Should one be led, or "feel the need?" There may be "profits in gleaning", from these writings. ;)

If not? Don't bother!

I cannot figure this out. Is it an allegory about if we run away from Jesus we are naked? Or is the linen garment a symbol of the shoud of Jesus?

The new testament is, as it written also. It the link to the word of God as it is written . Not, as it is assumed..... or as a oral tradition .

As it is written is the one manner by which we can hear God not seen

Of the Syriac translation from the article you posted, and the battle was documented in the book, was it a song who really knows it’s gone.

that's exactly what is happening in the MARK Scripture, like Adam, he was clothed in linen=clothed in Righteousness,
but, then he was 'afraid - and then he became 'naked', because he 'hid/fled himself' from God...

Oh wow, I know the Bible has many verses that reflect each other, and are almost like parables. This is very interesting.

Linen cloth would seem to represent the righteousness of Christ doctrine in respect to the Son of man Jesus. It is used as a burial metaphor. to represent we are buried (clothed )with him in his death .

Without His righteousness we will be found naked . leaving the linen cloth was a sign of the holy Spirit had departed, a sign of unbelief or blasphemy against them.

Mark 14:51-53 King James Version (KJV) And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked. And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.

later (10 verses) the same kind of metaphor is used in respect to the ceremonial priestly clothing to represent Christ's righteousness in another way . . . the Pharisees turned the thing up side down and used it to accuse Jesus the Son of man of blasphemy.

Mark 14:63-64 King James Version (KJV) Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?
Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

Below the linen cloth without a body is used to represent Christ has risen causing a wonderment

Luke 24:11-13 King James Version (KJV) And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not. Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass. And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

Jerimiah account would also seem to support the use of linen to represent be clothed with the righteousness of Christ There it is shown separate from Christ as the filthy rags spoken of Isaiah 64

Three separate times to establish the end of the matter. the first time to establish a our filthy rags of unrighteousness.

Jeremiah 13:1 Thus saith the Lord unto me, Go and get thee a linen girdle, and put it upon thy loins, and put it not in water. (Unclean)

Then hide it out of sight as un profitable

Jeremiah 13:4-7 Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock. So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me.And it came to pass after many days, that the Lord said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.

Jeremiah 13 11 For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the Lord; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.

Isaiah 64:6 [But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have

It is shown with Lazarus a parable to represent the first resurrection when a person firsts hears the call from their heavenly abode. Interestingly the disciples are asked to remove symbolic grave cloth a work of unity of brotherly love . In the last ressurection we are given our incorruptible body.

And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. John 11:43-44
