2Cor 13:5 . . Examine yourselves to see whether you are living in faith.
Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? --unless, of
course, you fail the test.

The reason I brought that up is because after nearly five decades in India,
Teresa complained that the place of God in her soul was blank; there was no
God in her and she felt that He did not want her. On top of that, she referred
to Christ as "the absent one".

There is a solid biblical explanation for Teresa's disconnect.

John 14:21-23 . .Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the
one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I
will love him and reveal myself to him.

. . . Judas, not the Iscariot, said to him: Master, [then] what happened
that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?

. . . Jesus answered and said to him: Whoever loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling
with him.

Difficult to comprehend isn't it? -- that the most pious nun the twentieth
century produced actually failed to keep Jesus' word and comply with his
commandments.

"I am told God loves me; and yet the reality of darkness & coldness &
emptiness is so great that nothing touches my soul."

Duh.

Another thing: Teresa' s complaint "I feel God does not want me" was due to
the lack of a special communication.

Rom 8:16 . .The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are
children of God.

The Greek word for "bears witness" means to corroborate; which Webster's
defines as: to support with evidence. Well; not once did the Spirit prove to
Teresa, beyond a shadow of sensible doubt, that God wanted her; that she
was a beloved member of heaven's family.

the point of the thread is to stir up hatred by someone that hates Catholics. it blows my mind that there are people thet devote so much of their life to such shallow things, quite the opposite of Mother Teresa who devoted her life to helping others. IMO when you find yourself in such a low spot that you attack those that are devoted to serving the greater good, you might want to re think your life and ask where it all went so horribly wrong.

Mother Teresa offered a faithless gospel of the flesh. (snapchat) hall of patron saint fame. No food (gospel) for the soul Catholisicim They have another source of faith other than all things written in the law and the prophets (sola scriptura)

Their source of written faith the CCC make the source of the faith of Christ our teacher with effect making sinful men in divine gods in the likeness of men .

It a dark place believer can be there they are in need of the gospel .Then possibly they could seek the approval of Gog according to the commandment. .Like Jesus said the fields are ripe unto harvest .

With one stroke of the pen the tradition #80 of God not seen become the tradition of venerable, worship-able fathers seen.

Belief in the existence of God is essential to one's association with Jesus' Father.

Heb 11:6 . .Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone
who comes to Him must believe that he exists.

Webster's defines "impossible" as: incapable of being, or of occurring.

Webster's defines "must" as an indispensable item; viz: essential.

Ironically, a demon's level of faith is actually superior to Teresa's. At least
they believe in the existence of God.

Jas 2:19-20 . . You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the
demons believe-- and tremble!

I simply cannot approve a missionary whose iffy belief in the existence of
God doesn't even measure up to the quality of a demon's belief.

Nobody is perfect and including yourself ! MT gave her life for the poor, the sicks, the unloved like Christ did. She brought joy, peace and love in our world. Thanks MT every time you took care of myself...!

Doctrines are nothing, Love is everything ! If you were dying would you prefer to be indoctrinated of taken care of ? As it is written: Do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets! On this point she was one of the greatest christian of this world despite being a Catholic.

MT gave her life for the poor, the sicks, the unloved like Christ did. She
brought joy, peace and love in our world.

It is not my intent to denigrate the value of Mother Teresa's work in India,
nor to critique her personally as a human being; but rather, to analyze her
deplorable spiritual condition and try to understand why the most pious nun
that the twentieth century ever produced, wrote the following in her private
letters:

"I am told God loves me; and yet the reality of darkness & coldness &
emptiness is so great that nothing touches my soul."

"The place of God in my soul is blank-- There is no God in me"

"I feel He does not want me, He is not there, God does not want me"

"When I try to raise my thoughts to Heaven, there is such convicting
emptiness that those very thoughts return like sharp knives and hurt my
very soul. How painful is this unknown pain-- I have no faith."

"The damned of Hell suffer eternal punishment because they experiment
with the loss of God. In my own soul, I feel the terrible pain of this loss. I
feel that God does not want me, that God is not God; and that He does not
really exist."

"If there be God; please forgive me."

Teresa felt not even the slightest glimmer of the Lord's presence, and
referred to Jesus as "the absent one".

She became so stressed over these problems that at the urging of Henry
D'Souza, the Archbishop of Calcutta (a.k.a. Kolkata), she agreed to an
exorcism in the final weeks of her life if perhaps demons were somehow
clouding her mind. The ritual was performed by Father Rosario Stroscio.

Demons clouding Teresa of Calcutta's mind!? That is certainly not a very
appealing testimonial to the Catholic religion's value as a source of light and
consolation of God's sensible presence.

Father Stroscio, 79, said Mother Teresa appeared dazed and behaving
strangely at the time of the exorcism. I also know from another source that
Teresa was nervous about God in her last moments. Ironically, though she
was never really confident a God exists; she feared that if one did exist, it
wouldn't like her, and might be quite disposed to condemn her.

Compare Teresa's end-of-life experience with the up-beat testimony of the
apostle Paul:

2Tim 4:6-8 . . I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure
is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have
kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to
me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Paul's mind certainly wasn't clouded, nor was he dazed and behaving
strangely, nor was he in doubt about the existence of God, nor was he
nervous that if a God did exist, it might not like him; and possibly quite
disposed to condemn him. No, none of that because that is just simply not
the way New Testament Christianity works.

Php 4:6-9 . .Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by
prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And
the peace of God, which is beyond the intellect, will guard your hearts and
your minds in Christ Jesus.

. . . Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right,
whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-- if anything is
excellent or praiseworthy --think about such things. Whatever you have
learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-- put it into practice;
and the God of peace will be with you.

Teresa's chronic lack of inner peace suggests very strongly that she did not
follow Paul's instructions to put into practice "whatever you have learned or
received or heard from me, or seen in me"

One's last moments are the acid test. If perchance they go to their death
like Ms. Bojaxhiu did in a state of darkness, interior suffering, lack of
sensible consolation, spiritual dryness, an apparent absence of God from
their life, fear of the unknown, and doubt in the existence of a God; then
they should prepare themselves for the worst when they make the crossing
over to the other side because they will not be dying in faith; no, they will be
dying in unbelief; and I don't think I need explain what that means.

Heb 11:6 . .Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone
who comes to Him must believe that he exists.

In other words: confidence in the existence of God is not an option: it's a must.

False....good works produce nothing but a false sense of hope.....

so when Jesus said we will know them by their fruits, thats something we should just black out of the bible because it goes against the manmade theology?
we should focus more on belief and words and less on actually doing the greater good, which is exactly what Jesus said not to do when criticizing the pharisees, they teach but dont practice?
telling someone to "take it up with Jesus" makes it sound like you have nothing to support your argument. just saying.

but you just dont get it, it makes little difference if she followed in the footsteps of Jesus and lived by His teachings, the church she belonged to did not have the proper name, this means everything she did was wrong, this may not be in any scripture but thats beside the point. think of it as "religion as you go" where you just make up the rules as you see fit.
