I went back and forth on this, but now I came to the conclusion that sin is something we choose to do, not something that is in our DNA.
"Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8:34-36

why the virgin birth?

why no one seeks Him - why no one good, not even one?

why is Romans 5:12 in the Bible?

why the need for salvation - a saviour?

To tell you the truth we can't help but sin. As the saying goes we are not sinners because we sin we sin because we're sinners.

In are present state which is the flesh we rely on our 5 senses. Touch, hear, smell, taste, and see. The sixth sense is not esp as the world teaches but it is reason.
Please try to follow this.....6 is the number of man.
From birth we rely on our senses and reason out in logic. That reason or logic becomes the heart of man. A carnal man.

Going back to the fall in genisis we see Eve being tempted to use her senses to undermine Gods authority. When eve had concluded that it looks good feels good the reasoning of how does it taste compelled her disobedience. Adam seeing nothing happening to Eve right then his reasoning was perhaps the serpent is telling the truth maybe we will be as God.

Do a short study on faith we find that God uses them (senses) as they were created to be used.

Faith comes by hearing...
Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Faith believes in things not seen.
Touch not the unclean thing
Trust in the Lord with all your heart lean not to your own understanding.

Just a few of the many scriptures in the word.

Because of the actions of our first parents sin has now entered into the very heart of man. Adam and Eve became aware of self and tried to cover there shame. But the Lord provided.
The story of Cain shows this.
Not only did Cain bring the wrong offering but refuse the grace of God when the Lord told him to do as his brother did and it would be well with him. The Lord warned him that sin is at the door .
We see this led to the killing of his brother and a walking away from the Lord by the condemnation of guilt.
Then again we see the grace of God marking Cain not to be hurt or killed.
Cain being ungrateful and unrepented went and built a city into himself.....here we see the beginning of the Canaanites follow there history.

This is how I see it..you might agree or not..😃😃😃

Remember Jesus was pure in thought, word and deed always....are we capable to do this???

This guy does not know what he's talking about. He said, "No one taught we inhereted anything from Adam." If that's true how come the Apostle Paul said at Romans 5:12-21, (I will just quote vs12 and you can read the rest yourself). "Therefore, just as "THROUGH" one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned."

Plus the fact of what Kind David stated at Psalm 51:5, "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me." So yes, sin is in our DNA. I also notice lw97 from your threads and post you seem to be mixed up in issues. What I mean is the fact that your mis-applying verses to support the conclusions you have come to. In other words, your reading too much into the verses (eisegesis) imposing your strict interpretation of the text. PS: Your right, sin is something we choose to do but that is because we are born with a sin nature in the first place, think about it?

IN GOD THE SON,

If we had the power to chose not to sin then The sacrifice of the LORD Jesus Christ on the cross makes no sense...

Jesus would not have needed to die to save sinners if sinning was just a choice men could simply choose not to do...

So i totally disagree with the conclusion that sin is just a choice.. It's not.. No one can claim to be without sin and still have the truth.. Some might be delusional and believe they are without sin but on the day of judgement they will find out quick smart that their ideas where delusional..

Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. Gal. 4:30

Any Believer who does not live by Faith in Christ and the Cross Calvary where the victory was won, has the bondwoman and her son ruling their lives (the sin nature). Many believe that the sin nature was totally elimated from them when they were born-again. If that was the case they will never get sick or die.

Paul said concerning this:

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal. 5:19-21)
