I have just been reading Romans 1 that you posted. It is a warning to people like you who have seen the ETERNAL power of God, who made the heaven and the earth in the BEGINNING and you try to make out the beginning was ten thousand years ago. Such teaching is damnable.

When was the beginning? It was out of sight and out of mind, not ten thousand years ago, not a million years ago, not billions of years ago. Eternity has no beginning or ending.

Not really Dr. Brown's hydroplate model is so speculative ...I hardly even know what to think about it.

His is speculative, But old earth is not? Even though Old earth is completely based on unknown things, but pure speculation because NO ONE WAS THERE

Too funny, again one very specific problem of the accelerated rate of decay and the radiation the would be emitted and how the earth would survive is speculative, stating that certain isotopes created by the p. effect would absorb a lot of the heat is a streeeeetch!

After reading some of his work he really has not rigorously demonstrated that his mechanisms would apply during a Flood, or generate the specific decay rates he needs, let alone eliminate the heat problem.

This scientist has not submitted any of his work to be peer reviewed, as a mechanical engineer he should surely know the credibility that is necessary and that peer reviewed journals are the only way for his work to be taken seriously within the scientific community.

A credible scientist is the one that is cited and it hard to accept his work as rigorous out side of that process.

If the earth is old as generally believed it still is a separate topic from evolution for me.

I have come to believe that gap theory was an easy way out. A way to make it easier to appease old earth evolutionists, because instead of actually doing the hard work of studying things, they just took what ashiest scientists already did, and went with it, Just explained it away.

Once again, IF God created the earth for mankind, It would appear in its created stated aged.

If the flood was as catastrophic as the bible claimed it was (and I believe it was) then we would expect to see characteristics which would be the end result of this catastrophic event.

What we see with two theories (the book the genesis flood started it, and Dr Snelling upgraded with his books the earth’s catostrophic past) and dr brown has done, Is say, ok, if this happened, what woud we expect to see. And then went out and found it confirming their findings (an example is heavy water deep within the earth, confirmed by two deep drilling events, which found heavy water far deeper than science said there culd be water)

I did not say I believed everythign these people said, There are just THEORIES, (as is GAP)

I am just saying they are far more believable than saying God needed to take billions of years of this earth, full of death and destruction and evolution, before whatever reason he decided to reform the earth in a perfect state, and give it to this new creature he called man.


But I think you have proven in our many discussions you refuse to even give anyone who disagrees with your theories any amount of credit or consideration.

I believed like you did from the time I was 17 and first read the gap theory notes in my scofield bible. Then I found out my church believed the same theory, and they gave me other resources, I went to school and was scorned because I used that to fight evolution that we were being taught. Then I went on for most of my christian life and fought with the same way and attitude you are fighting now. So happy that I could finally explain away evolution.

Only to go to the creation museum in Kentucky just west of Cincinnati ohio. So things which Got me to question what I believed, Get the book the earths catastrophic past from Dr Snelling, Study it, (even though alot of science was over my head, Things he said made sense,) then got a few more books on creation and the flood. Which caused me to totally change my view. Then was introduced to the hydroplate theory. Which with the evidence submitted, just blew me away, to the point although some of it is out there, Brought me to the point I could no longer even consider the theory I had spent my whole life believing in.

So while I was like you for many years. I no longer am closed minded. I am still open, if someone gives me proof that I can not refute or find a weakness in.

Radiocarbon dating has been thoroughly debunked. It is only trustworthy up to a few thousand years, if that, Especially when you take into account the beta particles.

Theories are that, Theories. Based mostly on speculation, If they were based on FACTS they would not be called theories

There are three general theories about the age of the earth

Gap theory

Hydroplate theory

Plate tectonic theory.

I can no longer hold to the GAP theory, because the evidence I believed in most of my life has slowly crumbled and is no longer sustainable.
