Well you are mistaken. Those who do not believe are simply unbelievers. And those who oppose the doctrine of Christ are "antichrists".
But the Antichrist presents himself as the true Christ while claiming that Jesus Christ is not the true Christ. He is a man energized by Satan and probably possessed by Satan.
Since the Muslim idea of the Mahdi is a close parallel to the biblical Antichrist, it is entirely possible that the same Man of Sin will present himself as the Mahdi.
But the Antichrist presents himself as the true Christ while claiming that Jesus Christ is not the true Christ. He is a man energized by Satan and probably possessed by Satan.
Since the Muslim idea of the Mahdi is a close parallel to the biblical Antichrist, it is entirely possible that the same Man of Sin will present himself as the Mahdi.

I agree with the OP based upon study........and MANY flat disregard what Daniel 10, 11 have to say while stating for a fact it is some Roman King........and the two phrases which are big clues in my mind that are swept over point to him coming out of ISLAM........
a. Has no respect unto the GOD of his fathers <---capital G points to the one true GOD

A good example is with Peter acting as a antichrist in Mathew 16.
A antichrist a is any person seen that says you must get under their authority and believe what they say. Rather than believing Christ who lives in us , The man of sin has been revealed they went out from us because they had another mediator .Themselves as anti-christ's many.

That were the faithless Muslims as well as faithless Israel as unbelievers made their mistake. They wrestled against flesh and blood hoping they could know him after what the eyes see. We simply do not know God after the flesh .Salvation does not come by the seeds of Abraham. But rater the faith of Christ the incorruptible seed not seen that worked in Abraham to both will and do the good pleasure of God. Its never about the flesh of any nation.

And Allah is a false god so there is no power there to help Islam, so how are they going to take control with all the power of the Caucasian established nations that decided to come together as a power base, and they have their own plan going on to establish the new age movement to produce the antichrist, which the Bible plainly states that the antichrist will come from the Roman Empire.
Islam is not going to do anything, and the Pope is playing them, and deceiving them, for he wants all religions to come together, and nations to come together, and the religion of Islam, and the Arab nations are the most stubborn, so he is giving them special treatment, but the Pope cares nothing about fundamental Islam.
Also the antichrist believes in no personal God, and evolution, and wants to take down fundamental Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.
So the antichrist is against Islam.
So while people may point out that Islam seems to be getting power in places like Europe it is only because they are letting them for a reason that fits their agenda.

After the 6th trumpet the world then accepts the antichrist as the solution to have peace on earth, for the 10 horn kingdom failed at providing peace on earth.

But the beast spoke like no other man spoke understanding dark sentences, and claimed to be God by harnessing the power of nature, and obtaining power, evolved, and the false prophet does miracles in the sight of people to convince them the beast did receive power, and shared this power with the false prophet, and will share this power with all who follow him.
And the beast gave them hope, and a bright future, and the promise of peace on earth, and the deadly wound of the 7th head, kingdom that failed, was healed, and the world said, who is like unto the beast, and who can make war with him, believing he has the power to establish his kingdom, and no foe can stop him, for flesh cannot contend with a man that has the power of nature to go against them, and is invincible.

We can having been given a new heart see beyond that to our final hope as the living hope we walk after. The Holy Spirit will come like a thief in the night on the last day.. The Bible defines a anti-christ (singular) as a spirit of lies. (Ye shalt not die) Another mediator teacher described as one who comforts and brings to the minds the things he has taught those who do believe his lies. The counterfeiter. The antichrist picture will not get any clearer than the demonstration of the spirit of the antichrist (Satan) working to try and snatch the spiritual seed ( Christ) and give it to Peter.. Rome's choice . Not the Christian's none seen choice of Him who works in us, with us the choice of faith.

One thing that has been drawing my attention are the words the Father and the Son. Like you said they represent the work of one God .
But the antichrists do make the faith that alone comes from hearing God to no effect. this was because they were worshipping there fathers flesh as if the were our inviable father in heaven . Something Jesus called..... to think not. Not worshipping the God of the fathers .But again the fathers as gods in the likeness of men
Can't have one (father) without the other (Son) It was a mutual work of both the Father and Son working together in perfect harmony and submission to one another ,(Isaiah 53) By it we have the peace of God that does surpass our limited understanding.
